LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The legal drama surrounding 'It Ends With Us' stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has taken a new turn after the revelation of an audio message. Baldoni allegedly sent the message to Lively after the actress suggested to her co-star and director that some changes be made to a pivotal scene in the movie.

The voice note, obtained by Daily Mail, sheds further light on the feud between Baldoni and Lively, that took place during the film's filming.

The rooftop scene in the film, where Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s characters meet, had been the subject of much speculation in their warring lawsuits.

Notably, Lively filed two lawsuits against Baldoni and his associates — a civil rights complaint in California and a lawsuit in New York — accusing Baldoni of harassing her and causing her "severe emotional distress" apart from lost wages, according to the New York Post.

In reply, Baldoni countersued Lively with a $400 million suit and accused her of defamation, claiming she took certain measures to gain control over the 2024 film.

Moreover, his lawsuit also alleged that he felt "obliged" to accept and praise a revised version of the rooftop scene allegedly written by Lively for fear of incurring the wrath of Reynolds and Lively’s best friend, Taylor Swift.

Lively allegedly wasn't happy with Baldoni’s initial response to her rewrites. After a few days of silence from the actress, Baldoni reportedly sent a voice message to the 'Gossip Girl' alum.

Baldoni said in the April 2023 voice note, "I want to start with an apology. Reading the second part of your message, my heart sank, and I’m really sorry. I for sure fell short." He added that she "worked really hard" on her revised version of the scene.

Baldoni added, "I just wanted to say thank you for sharing that with me. That takes a lot of trust and vulnerability. And I just I feel really grateful that you feel safe enough to tell me that that’s how you feel and share that with me."

"I’m really sorry. That is a fail on my part. One thing you should know about me is I will admit and apologize when I fail. I am far from perfect. I am a very flawed man. As my wife will attest," he continued.

Baldoni returned to Lively’s text about his initial reaction to her rewrites and reiterated his remorse.

He said, "I’m sorry I made you feel that way. That must have felt terrible. And I will for sure do better. That was not my best weekend. And I should have given it more time."

Baldoni seemed to refer to messages that Lively sent to him about how Reynolds and Swift allegedly supported her in the back-and-forth over the rooftop scene.

Baldoni said, "And damn right you got great friends. If that’s how you felt, and they knew that. F**k. We should all have friends like that. Aside from the fact that the two of the most creative people on the planet, the three of you guys together, it’s unbelievable. Talk about energy force, all three of you."

'It Ends With Us' clip sheds light on simmering tensions between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

A newly released video from the set of 'It Ends With Us' shows simmering tensions between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

The footage, obtained by TMZ, was shared by Baldoni's team and showcases a seemingly uncomfortable interaction during the filming of a slow-dance scene, where the two broke characters for an exchange, reported People.

After the release of the footage, Lively referred to the raw footage Baldoni's team shared as "damning". Her team said, "Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint."

The footage allegedly seems to provide evidence of Blake Lively commenting on Justin Baldoni’s nose, a point highlighted in the director-actor’s countersuit, per the outlet.

As per Baldoni’s legal filing, "Lively took them out of character again and began to joke about Baldoni’s nose, which he laughed off and joked in turn, even as Lively joked that he should get plastic surgery. Lively incorrectly alleges that this scene was filmed without sound. Baldoni was wearing a microphone, and the entire exchange is captured on camera."

In the clip, Lively can be seen sharing her thoughts on the scene’s visuals while it’s being filmed. After a particular take, she laughs nervously about the proximity to Baldoni, saying, "It’s like, just noses."
