LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Bieber’s personal assistant of six years, Mateo Caldas, has reportedly stepped down from his role, according to The US Sun.

Caldas, who had been an integral part of Bieber’s inner circle since 2018, worked closely with the pop star and his wife, Hailey Bieber.

Caldas' departure has raised eyebrows, especially as it comes at a time when Bieber’s behavior has been the subject of much speculation.

Sources claim that Caldas has left his position to focus on his acting career, though there has been no official confirmation from either Bieber or Caldas regarding the same, reported The US Sun.

It remains unclear whether the couple has found a replacement or if they are actively searching for a new assistant.

Justin Bieber is reportedly cutting ties amid ‘transformative’ year

The news of Mateo Caldas’ resignation comes just weeks after reports surfaced that Justin Bieber has been actively severing ties with several close friends and business associates.

His representative told TMZ that the singer was in the midst of ending relationships that “no longer served him.”

“This year has been very transformative for Justin,” the representative explained.

“He is focused on supporting his wife and their six-month-old son, Jack Blues, and making changes in his life that align with that priority,” they added.

Despite the shift in Bieber’s personal and professional life, his team has strongly denied rumors that the singer is struggling with substance abuse.

Speculation surrounding his well-being has been rampant, with online discussions dissecting his behavior over the past few months.

“The gossip surrounding Justin’s physical and mental health is exhausting and pitiful,” his representative stated.

“Despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, and harmful narratives alive,” the representative added.

Justin Bieber's social media posts fuel controversy

While Justin Bieber’s representatives have denied allegations of drug use, the singer himself has done little to dispel concerns.

Over the past week, he has posted multiple videos and photos on social media that have only fueled further speculation.

One video showed Bieber rapping about being high, while another clip captured him smoking a joint.

Hailey Bieber is ‘concerned’ about Justin Bieber's health

Concerns about Justin Bieber’s health and well-being first emerged when he was seen at Hailey Bieber’s Rhode skincare pop-up event in Los Angeles.

A viral video from the event showed the singer swaying uncontrollably while chatting with a friend, leading fans to speculate about his condition.

According to Page Six, Hailey is deeply worried about her husband’s current state.

A source close to the couple shared, “Justin is going through a hard time, and Hailey is doing her best to be there for him, but there’s only so much she can do.”

Hailey has always been a strong support system for Bieber, but insiders claim that she is struggling to manage the situation.

“She loves him and wants to help, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult,” the source added.
