SAG HARBOR, NEW YORK: Justin Timberlake claimed he just had "one" drink after being booked on DWI charges!

The multiple Grammy winner was pulled over on Tuesday, June 18, in Sag Harbor, and was taken into custody. 

"I had one martini and I followed my friends home," the singer told authorities, per his arrest report.

What did police report on Justin Timberlake's arrest say? 

The police document reveals that the ‘Mirrors’ singer was on his 2025 BMW, drove through a stop sign, and "fail to keep on the right side of the roadway." 

The officer initiated a traffic stop and noted that Timberlake's "eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests."

Timberlake was arrested at 12.37 am and taken to Sag Harbor Police Headquarters to be processed due to his condition.

At the station, the alcohol influence report was read aloud to Timberlake, and he responded, "No, I’m not doing a chemical test," according to the report. 

Authorities reportedly repeated the protocol to him a second and third time, and he responded, "I refuse" both times, per People.

The ‘SexyBack’ star was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations, one for running a stop sign and one for failure to keep in lane.

"Mr Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment,” the official press release read. 

“Mr Timberlake was arraigned at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 18, 2024, at 9.30 am, where he was released on his own recognizance," it added.



 

Internet concered over Justin Timberlake's DWI arrest

Netizens felt it could have been worse, after Timberlake DWI related arrest in New York.

One person wrote on Facebook, "He just needs to own it and be thankful that he didn’t kill anyone. Outcome could have been very different for him."

"He can afford a private driver! He should know better. He has small children. What if when he was swerving he hit a Family with children in a car. No excuses. Take your punishment. Apologize. Could have turned out way worse," the second slammed.

A person remarked, "He looks like someone that's trying really hard to prove that he wasn't as drunk as he probably was lol."

"No more *NSYNC and his career is taking a turn for the worse. Anymore issues and it’s bye bye bye," a remarked.

"Leave the guy a lone. Not sure if this is his first big fumble. But leave him alone. In the video it didn't look like he was driving crazy. He made a mistake. No one was hurt and this should not mess with his career. Just my opinion," one defended Timberlake.
