LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Timberlake has been released after being held in custody over a DWI violation. 

The ‘Mirrors’ crooner was found driving while intoxicated or impaired in Long Island, New York. Timberlake appeared in court for his arraignment on Tuesday, June 18, and was soon released from police custody.

Justin Timberlake seemed a bit upset during his court appearance, an insider revealed

According to a source, the Grammy-winner was accompanied by an attorney and two other people, while being handcuffed "with his hands in front of him" and wore "a black bowling shirt, light jeans and white and baby blue Air Force 1s" as he was presented at a Sag Harbor courthouse. 

His cuffs were removed after the arraignment. "He did seem a bit upset. Jessica [Biel, his wife] was not with him," an insider told People.

According to a TMZ report, the star was charged with one count of DWI and cited for running a stop sign and failing to keep in his lane. 

Timberlake is scheduled to appear in court on July 26.

It is reported that the ‘Suit & Tie’ singer had dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor and left for a friend’s house when he was pulled over.

“Nobody was hurt,” as per the source.

Timberlake is presently on the ‘Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ to gain support over his latest album 'Everything I Thought It Was.'

He will next perform on June 21-22 at Chicago’s United Center and will move to New York City’s Madison Square Garden for shows on June 25-26.

Internet slams Justin Timberlake for his disappointing action

Netizens questioned Timberlake's decision to drive amid influence. 

One person joked on X, “Those flashing lights come from everywhere.”

"Come on Justin you're better than this smh🤦" wrote a disappointed fan.

A user remarked, "Justin Timberlake getting into trouble in the Hamptons? Guess he's bringing SexyBack to the station."

"With all his money he couldn’t get a driver?" one questioned.

"All the money in the world to get an Uber or limo or freaking helicopter," one slammed Timberlake's action.
