This year’s Met Gala was themed on ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion', which is based on the upcoming Costume Institute exhibit that features over 250 items.
This will comprise 15 significant pieces, including an 1877 Charles Frederick Worth silk satin ball gown, which celebrates 400 years of history.
The dress code for the 2024 Met Gala is “The Garden of Time,” inspired by JG Ballard's story of the same name.
Justin Timberlake skips Met Gala 2024
Biel’s last appearance at the Met Gala event was back in 2013. She walked the red carpet that year with her current husband Justin Timberlake.
The ‘Mirror’ singer is presently on a world tour and couldn’t accompany his wife this time around. Biel and Timberlake share two sons, Phineas, 3, and Silas, 8.
The 'Better Place' singer said on 'The Graham Norton Show', "I think it’s just, you get to a point in your life where you realize that all the things that have conspired really to get you to this point are beautiful."
"And I don’t think I’ve ever taken the time to reflect and look at my life and say like, “wow this is really cool” and just be thankful for it," the former member of NSYNC added.
Meanwhile, Biel's makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua did a fantastic job as she gave the star a lit-from-within glow, prepping her skin with a Nira laser and using Chanel makeup products.
The actress's hairstyle was done by Adir Abergel, who went for soft waves with Virtue.
