Kai Trump says grandfather Donald made her first Ryder Cup experience 'even more special'
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, is back with a new YouTube vlog, this one capturing what she describes as a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience. The 18-year-old avid golfer takes viewers inside her very first Ryder Cup, which she attended alongside her grandfather.
In the 28-minute video, Kai offers a behind-the-scenes look at the event, sharing her thoughts, memories, and even a few glimpses of her and Trump playing golf together.
The duo attended the tournament’s opening day on September 26 at Bethpage Black, an experience Kai described as unforgettable and made “even more special” by sharing it with her grandfather.

The young golfer posted a new YouTube video titled “I Went to the Ryder Cup With My Grandpa (POTUS)”, documenting her first-ever experience at the prestigious tournament. In the vlog, filmed at Bethpage Black, Kai describes the moment as “special” and admits it was a dream come true to finally attend the Ryder Cup, especially alongside her grandfather.
“I’ve always wanted to experience it, but getting to go with my Grandpa made it even more special,” she said. She shared that Team Europe won the 2025 edition but emphasized how much she enjoyed being there to cheer for Team USA. “This has been a dream of mine for so long, and it was even better than I expected,” Kai said.
“Now we’re heading back to the White House, and I’m looking forward to playing golf with Grandpa tomorrow,” she added, showing a few clips of herself walking toward the presidential carrier. Reflecting on her time at the Oval Office, Kai ranked the Ryder Cup among her most memorable experiences, alongside the Masters and the UFC. “I had the best time of my entire life today,” she added. “It was amazing to just be there and support Team USA. The energy from the fans was unreal.”
Known for her down-to-earth attitude, Kai closed her vlog with gratitude for the rare opportunities she’s had. “Not many people get to come here, and especially have a family member in office,” she said. “It’s really cool just to be here, soak it all in; one day it won’t be here anymore.”
