Kai Trump’s behind-the-scenes video from UFC event gives rare look at Barron
WASHINGTON, DC: Barron Trump may guard his privacy like no other, but Kai’s vlog camera has a knack for finding him anyway.
The 19-year-old eldest granddaughter of Donald Trump pulled back the curtain on the UFC Freedom 250 celebrations by sharing behind-the-scenes footage that captured the rarely seen Barron enjoying the star-studded event held alongside the president's 80th birthday festivities.
Barron Trump appears in high spirits in Kai’s vlog
The 20-year-old New York University student appeared relaxed and in good spirits during two brief appearances on Kai's vlog, where she mingled with members of the Trump family.
In one moment, Kai was chatting with her aunt, Tiffany Trump, during a private family celebration before the fight event when the camera captured the 6ft 9in businessman towering over his half-sister.
"Say hi to the channel," Kai told Tiffany. Her aunt smiled, waved, and replied, "Hi guys!" While Tiffany happily joined the vlog, Barron appeared less interested in becoming part of the social media content. He glanced around the room as Kai continued filming.
Moments later, Barron flashed a broad smile as he eagerly awaited the opening bell, offering a rare glimpse of the usually reserved first son enjoying the excitement of the event.
Notably, he didn’t address viewers in the video, keeping in line with his habit of staying quiet in front of cameras. Kai, who has amassed 1.5 million subscribers on her channel, described the events as “one of the coolest days of my life.”
“Getting to hang out with Dana White, celebrate my grandpa's birthday, and be part of such an incredible moment was unreal,” she boasted in a caption.
Kai Trump opens up about ‘Uncle B’
Barron, whom President Donald Trump reportedly affectionately calls "honey," has long maintained one of the lowest public profiles in the Trump family. Before his appearance at Sunday's UFC event, he was last seen publicly at the State of the Union address in February.
The 20-year-old has no known social media presence and reportedly kept a low profile during his freshman year at New York University. He now studies at the university's Washington, DC, campus.
Kai has previously offered rare insights into life with her "Uncle B," who is just a year older than she is. “He’s a great guy,” she said on influencer Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast. “He doesn’t like the public eye so much, which I understand. But he’s a great guy.”
When asked what Barron might have said to former President Joe Biden when he whispered in his ear during President Trump’s second inauguration earlier this year, Kai couldn’t say for certain but insisted it would have been “nice.”
