“These clinics are essential for people to address their healthcare concerns with dignity,” Harris told co-host Mika Brzezinski. “However, in states that have enacted Trump-era abortion bans, these vital clinics are being forced to close. This closure means a widespread reduction in essential healthcare services for many individuals.”

Harris’s remarks come as part of a broader conversation about the impact of restrictive abortion laws on women’s health and access to care. The full interview, scheduled to air on Monday, coincides with the second anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade.

Joining Harris in the interview was reproductive rights advocate Hadley Duvall, known for her involvement in a campaign ad for Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear’s 2023 reelection, where she shared her personal experience of needing an abortion after suffering sexual abuse from her stepfather.

“If a woman of reproductive age's life is at stake, this election is crucial,” Duvall emphasized to Brzezinski during the interview.
