In a revealing conversation on the iHeartPodcast Table for Two, Goldblum discussed the values he's instilling in his children, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance.
He candidly shared his belief that his sons need to learn to "row their own boat," stressing that it's vital for them to figure out how to pursue their passions and find their place in the world independently.
Reflecting on his decision to become a father later in life, Goldblum expressed his contentment, saying that the timing feels just right. He explained that the maturity and wisdom he's gained over the years have prepared him to face the big questions and challenges of parenting.
"It's an important thing to teach kids. I'm not going to do it for you. And you're not going to want me to do it for you," he continued.

"You've got to figure out how to find out what's wanted and needed and where that intersects with your love and passion and what you can do," the star said. "And even it if doesn't, you might have to do that anyway."
In a 2018 interview with British outlet iNews, Goldblum reflected on his family, saying, "I keep doing the math, and keep extrapolating where they're going to be, and where I'm going to be. And when I buy a watch, I wonder who's going to get it."
Reflecting on fatherhood, he later confessed, "I'm glad I waited."
"It feels great to do it right now because all the things I'm considering are perfectly suited to the big questions and challenges of having kids, and what you want to expose them to."
"What you want to leave them with, what life is, and what kind of life you contribute to them," Goldblum said.
Goldblum is currently starring in Netflix's new series 'Kaos,' with its first season set to premiere on August 29.

Jeff Goldblum’s reflections on becoming a father at the age of 62 have generated a range of reactions online. After the actor opened up about his experiences raising his sons, Charlie and River, many users took to social media to share their thoughts on the challenges and joys of late parenthood.
One user expressed mixed feelings, writing, "Good for him. I don’t want to sound harsh or negative, but becoming a parent later in life comes with some harsh realities. By the time they reach adulthood, he will either be gone or close to it. So hopefully he isn’t one of those dads who is a workaholic & pays nannies to raise them. I really hope he spends plenty of quality time with them so when he is old or gone, they have some fond memories of their dad."
Another user said, "Congratulations!!! There is no love like that of a child. xo."
Another comment read, "Some people aren't fortunate enough to have children early in life for many reasons. If he is the good father I believe he is, the only issue is he will—in all likelihood—not outlive his kids, but isn't that true of most parents? And then again many parents have outlived a child for one reason or another. Let's just be happy for him and his family. Life is short."
Another one said, "Good for him. Better late than never. Love Jeff!"
Another added, "I hope he lives to see 100! I adore him and hope he lives a very long life to enjoy those babies!!"
"Love him! He must be a fun dad," a user said.
