WASHINGTON, DC: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the Trump administration has intensified investigations into major fraud allegations in Minnesota and warned that arrests are imminent.

Speaking on Fox & Friends on Wednesday, December 31, Leavitt said multiple federal agencies were deployed to Minnesota to investigate the alleged fraud.

Karoline Leavitt warned that "people will be in handcuffs" as scrutiny intensifies over widespread fraud allegations linked to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s administration.

She said, "President Trump is not going to let Governor Walz off the hook. This is a top priority for the administration."

Leavitt confirmed that the Department of Justice had already executed search warrants and subpoenas. "The Department of Justice, as we speak, is continuing to carry out search warrants and subpoenas," she said.

She added that the Department of Homeland Security was conducting on-the-ground investigations at potential fraud sites and continuing deportations of illegal immigrants in Minnesota communities.

Leavitt also mentioned that the administration is prepared to use denaturalization when necessary. "We’re not afraid to use denaturalization. That’s a tool at the president and the Secretary of State’s disposal, and it’s one this administration has previously used," she said.

She concluded, "Our entire administration is working around the clock to get to the bottom of it."

Governor Tim Walz, under intense scrutiny for the fraud allegations, has acknowledged the issue and promised corrective action.

Walz stated, "This situation is on my watch, and I am accountable for fixing it," even as his administration questioned some federal estimates of the fraud’s scope.

He ordered a third-party audit of Medicaid billing through Minnesota’s Department of Human Services and temporarily paused payments for some services while the review is conducted, according to FOX 9 in St. Paul.

Walz told the outlet, "We cannot effectively deliver programs and services if they don’t have the backing of the public’s trust."

He added, "To restore that trust, we are pumping the brakes on 14 programs designed to help the most disadvantaged among us, which have unfortunately become targets of criminal activity.”
