LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Kate Middleton is reportedly facing pressure from Prince William to break off contact with Prince Harry, following the Duke of Sussex’s latest public remarks about the royal family.

However, she is defying him, which has driven a wedge between the royal heirs.

The fallout stems from Harry's recent BBC interview in which he criticized the UK establishment and touched on his strained relationship with his father, King Charles.

Prince William warns Kate Middleton that anything said to Prince Harry 'could be twisted'

Following Prince Harry’s claims that he lost his legal challenge for taxpayer-funded security due "establishment stitch-up,” while also touching on King Charles' remaining days, tensions have reportedly reignited between him and the rest of the family.

William, 42, is “absolutely fuming” about the remarks and is determined to shield his wife, Kate, 43, from further fallout.

“William is furious that Harry’s speaking out again and doing interviews — he’s convinced this isn’t the end of it,” an insider shared with Radar Online.

The outlet said the Prince of Wales has made it "clear" to the rest of the family that they should "keep their distance" from both Harry and Meghan Markle, as "anything shared could be turned against them.”

“William doesn’t like having to put his foot down with Kate, but he sees this as necessary to protect everyone," said the insider.

The most he's worried about is that "anything Kate says to Harry could be twisted or resurface later — especially if there’s another book, or if Meghan decides to tell her own side of the story.”

Kate Middleton ‘frustrated and heartbroken’ over royal rift

Despite the mounting tension, Kate Middleton is said to be "resisting" Prince William’s demand to cut ties with Prince Harry.

While she is upset by Harry’s public airing of family matters, she is reportedly still hopeful for reconciliation.
