During the televised event, Kate introduced the Royal Carols: Together at Christmas 2024 by expressing her fondness for the holiday season.

She noted that Christmas is a time for presents and festivities and an opportunity to slow down and reflect.

"Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, it is a time for presents, tinsel and mince pies, but it's also a time to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all," she said.

Kate further said that stepping away from daily pressures allows people to find space and live with "an open heart, with love, kindness and forgiveness, so much of what the Christmas spirit is all about," according to the Mirror.
