SOUTH WALES, ENGLAND: Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, captured hearts across the globe after a heartwarming moment with a young girl went viral on social media.

During her engagement in South Wales on January 30, the royal stopped her convoy and jumped out of her car to engage with 3-year-old Lily-Rose, who had been calling out "Hello princess!" as Kate left Corgi, a knitwear and sock factory.

Kate Middleton's rare and heartwarming interaction with young girl

This rare and endearing moment occurred after the Princess of Wales, 43, heard Lily-Rose greeting her from a distance. In an unexpected and “highly unusual move”, Kate made a point to approach the little girl, leaving a lasting impression on both Lily-Rose and onlookers, BBC reported.

“I heard you say hello from all the way back there, and I wanted to come and see you,” Kate said as she jogged over to shake Lily-Rose’s hand, as captured in an Instagram video that quickly went viral.

The conversation took a charming turn when Lily-Rose asked, "Are you a princess?" to which Kate responded with a warm smile, "Yeah! I wanted to come see your village and see what's going on here, see this amazing factory. They make socks and jumpers. Very interesting!"

The moment became even more adorable when Lily-Rose handed Kate a toy banana, a small, sweet gesture that led to a playful interaction. As the future queen handed the banana back, Lily-Rose tossed it to the ground.

In a delightful display of patience and kindness, Kate bent down to retrieve it, making the exchange even more genuine.

As Kate walked away from their encounter, Lily-Rose’s parting words were a cute shout: "I want the princess!" A sentiment shared by many watching the heartwarming moment unfold.

The reaction from Lily-Rose’s mother, Stacey Chorley, was equally as joyful. “It was so exciting. We had no idea that was going to happen,” she said.

Moments like this are uncommon, with the BBC describing Kate’s actions as “remarkable because royal convoys rarely stop after they have left an engagement.” Chorley shared, “I hope this is one of the things Lily-Rose will remember. Kate was so lovely. She’s very natural and down-to-earth.”
