LONDON, UK: Carole Middleton, the mother of Kate Middleton, doesn’t want her daughter to stress over her family’s financial troubles.

The Princess of Wales’ parents are in debt of over $450K. The couple's business went into administration last year, which meant they weren’t able to pay off the due money, The Times UK reports.

Kate Middleton's mom Carole keeping her 'focused on recovery'

The time couldn’t be any worse as Kate recently announced she’d been going through preventive chemotherapy post her cancer diagnosis.

“Carole is desperately trying to keep Catherine fully focused on her recovery,” a source told Us Weekly on Thursday, April 4.

“It’s a very worrying time for the family but they are not looking for any assistance from their children and don’t want them to worry,” the insider claimed, referencing Kate’s sister, Pippa, and brother, James.

“Catherine and her parents are very close and they always check in with each other, but talk about the business is off limits as she needs to focus on her health.”

The Times report mentioned that Kate’s parents Michael and Carole’s business, The Party Pieces Company, failed to provide over $499,000 insolvency firm costs they owe.

They were supposed to come up with the sum after the company fell into administration last June with over $4.8 million of debt.

Carole Middleton 'most concerned' about daughter Kate's wellbeing

Royal commentator gave his insight into the development, claiming mother Carole was doing everything to not let Kate worry about money woes.

“It’s a stressful time at the moment and she will be pulling out all the stops to shield her daughter from this,” Hagan told Us Weekly.

“Party Pieces has collapsed and it’s been devastating for the family, but Carole will be most concerned about Kate’s wellbeing right now.”

Back in 2021, Carole made a statement about the company's launching a retail partnership in America.

“It’s very exciting to see our Party Pieces Collection expanding into the US starting with Saker ShopRites, a leading retailer in New Jersey and family-owned business with a long history of commitment to the customers and communities its stores serve,” Carole said then.

Internet reacts to Kate Middleton's mom Carole failing business amid cancer diagnosis

"'Money woes' Im sure the family have no financial concerns like the average person," one felt on X.

One user suggested conspiracy theory behind Kate's diagnosis, "Is there anyone with a pulse that still thinks that video is actually Kate."

"We’re talking hundreds of millions of pounds. Once a #golddigger always a #golddigger . I think Carole could give Camilla a run for her money," one person commented.

A user said, "I read she isn't even her real mother. Apparently she was rared for the position and it all came to light at Christmas."

Another one claimed, "The Queen spent £12 million to keep Andrew out of jail. They don’t hesitate to use their massive wealth to benefit the Family."

"I would not be surprised if she accepted an exorbitant amount of money to forget her daughter existed," a user said.
