The actress started clapping with a paper in her hand and nodding, before turning to the camera and tearing the paper, seemingly what could have been her speech, as per the outlet.

Notably, Anna Sawai gave a shoutout to Bates during her acceptance speech. She said, "I have so much people to thank that I’m going to keep it short, um, thank you to the voters for voting for me, even though I would vote for Kathy Bates any day."

She added, "Thank you to our incredible writers. Without a good script, it’s impossible to give a performance to our fullest full potential. Thank you. Everyone else, I’m going to thank you later."
