Kathy Griffin seeks help from fans to identify man who has been ‘harassing’ her about Trump

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kathy Griffin is seeking assistance from her fans to identify a man who has been stalking her during her daily walks and “harassing” her about President Donald Trump.
The 64-year-old comedian recently took to her Instagram to pen a frightened plea to her fans to help identify the man who has been threatening her allegedly for her past comments about the 78-year-old president.

Kathy Griffin asks help from fans about stalker
On Friday, March 21, Kathy Griffin posted a picture of the man on her Instagram, and wrote, “This #creeper has been harassing me on my daily walks on the Dume in Malibu.”
While she acknowledged that it is a local reference, she noted that it is not a spot that is frequented by celebrities much.
“I know it’s a very local reference but if you know you know. It’s not a ‘celebrity’ spot,” noted the comedian, before adding, “He approaches me with his camera and asks me only questions about Trump and tells me that he can ‘get Donald Trump to watch the video’ of me.”
Griffin added another chilling detail about the perpetrator, as she said, “He then gets in his pick up and follows me on my walk for a while.”
She revealed that she has started bringing her “large watchdog” with her for her walks “so he did not get as close to me this time.”
The ‘Pulp Fiction’ actress continued, “I wish I had a better picture for you guys. Can anybody identify this character? Please let me know. I never know when he is going to show up. I have never seen him photographing anyone else.”
Griffin, who has never shied away from showing her disdain for the commander-in-chief in public, previously told Entertainment Weekly in September last year that comedians would be targeted if Trump won the 2024 election.
She told the outlet, “He’s going to pick us off, one by one, like bowling pins, and I’m not kidding and I’m not being paranoid,” and added, “I’m a D-lister, he’s not going to get to me on day one, but he’ll get to me, trust me. He’s got a list. I’ve known this guy for 25 years, maybe 30. He’s so petty that he lives for this. He doesn’t want to be president or do any president-ing.”

Previously in 2017, the ‘My Life On The D List’ star courted controversy when she posed for a photoshoot with a replica of his severed head, as reported by New York Post.
Trump slammed the photoshoot and wrote in a tweet, “Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11-year-old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”

With Trump being the president then, the Secret Service then investigated Griffin. She later revealed that she was “completely exonerated” of any wrongdoing.
Though the actress apologized for the photoshoot initially, she later retracted the statement and said, “F**k him,” during an appearance on ‘The View’ in 2018.
However, she clarified her problem was only with the president and not his family.
The ‘Fashion Police’ alum noted, “I’m not holding back on this family,” before adding, “This family is different. I’ve been through the mill.”
Fans rally behind Kathy Griffin and urge her to get security
Social media users rallied behind Kathy Griffin and suggested her ways to maintain safety.
One of the fans wrote on Instagram, "Even if he’s just trying to get a rise out of you, please walk with security. That’s scary and unsafe. Also, call the cops, so there’s record of this harassment besides social media. Love you."
Someone else added, "Change your routine. Go at different times."
"As soon as you see him, go on live," chimed in another.
A user added, "Kathy, I know it’s frustrating but I would hire private security. The cost is worth the risk, and Trumpers are becoming more brazen and empowered. Please stay safe and call the police if he approaches you again."
"Call the police. This is harassment / assault, depending on where you live," noted another user.
Someone else added, "Start videoing him, and then make a police report."
Meanwhile, another user posted, "Maybe call the police instead of posting on Instagram? 🤷♀️."
