Katie Holmes says Suri ‘has her own sense of style’ as she reveals daughter’s fashion preferences
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a rare interview on Sunday, June 9, Katie Holmes revealed that her 18-year-old daughter Suri Noelle frequently steals her clothes.
The 45-year-old 'Dawson's Creek' star revealed in an interview with The Sunday Times that she has kept some of her earlier outfits for her daughter Suri—who she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, 61.

In response to a question about whether Katie intends to pass down her wardrobe to Suri, the actress—who has gained fame as a street-style icon in New York City for her carefree, easygoing looks—responded that she does.
"I’ve saved some things here and there. But she has her own sense of style and her own expressions," she said of her teenage daughter.
Katie made light of her daughter's habit of taking items out of her wardrobe. "Sometimes the basics definitely disappear," she joked. "But that’s fine."
The mother-daughter pair love dressing alike, as seen in their floral gowns from 2018 and their hip tie-dyed slacks from 2020, per People.
When asked if becoming a mother had affected her sense of style, Katie said, "I feel like, in some ways, yes. When my child was really small, I was drawn to wearing a lot of dresses."
"You do go through these different phases of motherhood and they inform what you feel comfortable in and what you don't. So over the years my style has changed here and there," she added.
Currently off for the summer, Suri will be attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania coming fall.
Suri, who is the daughter of two of the biggest stars, does not appear keen to follow in the footsteps of so many other Hollywood star kids by pursuing a career on the big or small screen.
Rather, she's determined to be "private", an insider revealed to Daily Mail in April.
Katie Holmes collaborates with French fashion brand APC
The 45-year-old star initially graced TV screens in 1997 when she portrayed the ultra-cool Joey Potter, a tomboyish yet strong-willed teenager, in the teen drama series 'Dawson's Creek' from the 1990s.
However, Katie has established herself in the fashion industry outside of the entertainment industry.
Now, Katie is focused on creating a capsule wardrobe collection in collaboration with French fashion brand APC—which debuted on June 6 online and in-store—building on her fame as someone whose style is both achievable and aspirational.
Speaking with The Times, the 'Batman Begins' actress deconstructed her personal sense of style, saying she looks to those with "an innate sense of style" and is constantly looking for inspiration.

Katie revealed that she enjoys experimenting and fusing elements of the old with the new.
"I like to mix and match classic pieces. I like vintage a lot. Living in New York City, I have to have things that are practical and comfortable. The city influences my style," she explained.
"Usually I’m in ballet flats, sneakers, baggy jeans and a T-shirt," she said, describing her go-to pieces. "I like putting it together in a way that doesn’t look like you put it together."
APC was established in 1987, with the acronym standing for Atelier de Production et de Creation (Production and Creation Workshop).
The brand's website describes its apparel as "authentic and accessible by way of its style, prices and philosophy," per the New Zealand Herald.
According to the brand on Instagram, Katie "[stepped] into the memories of APC garments of the past, bringing inspiration from collections of the early 2000s and working to make them modern and relevant to the 2024 experience."
