WASHINGTON, DC: Former White House press secretary Katie Zacharia shared an update on her life after leaving Washington, revealing the six-word message from President Donald Trump that still guides her. In an opinion piece published by the New York Post on Monday, October 26, Zacharia said she remains committed to Trump and his America First agenda as Republicans prepare for the November midterm elections.

The former aide described her return to California as a temporary pause rather than a permanent departure from politics. She also reflected on traveling with Trump during his campaign appearances earlier this month and urged Americans to support the Republican candidates he has endorsed.

Katie Zacharia reveals Donald Trump’s six-word message

Zacharia said Trump's words, “Never quit and always hit back,” have become a personal motto. The message comes from his book, The Art of the Comeback, and she says she has seen him put it into practice firsthand.

Reflecting on her time working for the president, Zacharia explained why returning to California does not mean she has given up on her political ambitions.

“I’ve always wanted to work for President Donald Trump, so being back in California feels like an interlude – a temporary pause between the work that matters most,” she wrote.

She also shared that she was doing well and enjoying time with her family, while making clear that her commitment to Trump had not changed.

“I’m doing well, grateful for the time with my family, and more determined than ever that I will never stop fighting for President Trump and the America First agenda in whatever capacity I’m given,” Zacharia wrote.

Although her remarks suggest she intends to remain involved in Trump's political movement, she did not announce a new position or confirm whether she plans to return to the administration.

Zacharia also offered a glimpse into her experience traveling with Trump earlier in October as he campaigned for Republican candidates ahead of the midterms.

She described seeing the president speak for hours and continue campaigning rather than scaling back his efforts before the elections.

“Traveling with the greatest president earlier this month, I saw him stand for the candidates he endorsed, speak for hours, and refuse to treat the midterms as a managed decline,” she wrote.

Zacharia added that the response from supporters stood out to her throughout the campaign appearances.

“What I saw was pure, unrelenting energy and enthusiasm. Crowds stood for hours, and still roared when he walked onstage,” she wrote.

She argued that Trump's willingness to campaign for Republican candidates could help encourage turnout as the party seeks to maintain its position ahead of the November elections.

Beyond the campaign trail, Zacharia used her opinion piece to praise what she considers Trump's achievements since returning to office.

She credited his administration's immigration crackdown with bringing illegal border crossings to historic lows. She also praised his tariff policies, claiming they had attracted major investment commitments and helped strengthen America's industrial sector.

Zacharia defended Trump's relationship with the press, arguing that coverage of his administration should focus on its results rather than criticism.

“The president deserves a press corps that reports his results straight – instead of feeding the incurable Trump Derangement Syndrome that fake news keeps alive,” she wrote.

Katie Zacharia urges Americans to back Trump-endorsed candidates

As the November midterms approach, Zacharia ended her piece with a direct appeal to Americans to support the candidates Trump has endorsed.

She encouraged voters to show up at the polls and take an active role in the elections, framing the president's determination as a reason for his supporters to remain engaged.

“Show up. Vote for the candidates President Trump has endorsed. Fight, fight, fight,” she wrote.

She concluded with a final reference to the message that has shaped her outlook.

“He never quits. Neither should we.”
