LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After nearly a decade of on-and-off romance and a six-year engagement, pop star Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly called it quits for good.
Sources close to the couple told Us Weekly that the couple has parted ways amicably, though the split had been building for months.
“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” an insider said. “It’s not contentious at the moment.”

Katy Perry ‘relieved’ after split from Orlando Bloom, claims source
The insider revealed the breakup was “a long time coming,” adding that “things have been tense for months.”
Perry, who is currently on her Lifetimes tour, is said to be upset but also somewhat relieved.
“She’s, of course, upset,” the source explained, adding, “But relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

Perry was previously married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.
The pop icon has reportedly been “keeping busy” with her tour and has been distracted by professional commitments.
“But her and Orlando have always lived in their other Montecito home as their primary residence,” the source added. “They were planning on making the Westcott home their family home, but plans have changed.”
Katy Perry’s tour, album stress, and long-distance life strained relationship with Orlando Bloom
Though Perry and Bloom were seen together in the past few months, sources said that they’ve been living apart as she is on tour. Bloom was recently spotted in Australia with their daughter, Daisy Dove, 4, and is expected to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s upcoming wedding solo, the New York Post reported.
Earlier reports from Page Six indicated the couple was "waiting till her tour is over before they split."
Other insiders pointed to the commercial failure of Perry’s album '143' and mixed tour reviews as major stressors. “Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,” a source told People. “It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.”
Another added, “She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It’s put stress on their relationship.”
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s long engagement ends without ever planning a wedding
Despite their long engagement, Perry and Bloom never finalized wedding plans. “[They] never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything, and Orlando is over it,” the insider said.
The couple first got together in 2016, split in 2017, then rekindled their romance in 2018.
Bloom proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2019, and the couple welcomed daughter Daisy in August 2020. Both have been open about their relationship struggles.
In a 2024 episode of the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, Perry admitted their early dynamic was unbalanced.
“We weren’t really in it from day one,” she said. “He was in a way because he had just done a time of celibacy, and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was just like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond.’”
Bloom was previously married to model Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013. They have a 13-year-old son named Flynn together.
