LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Katy Perry isn’t exactly keeping things under wraps, but she’s not oversharing either.

On April 7, the 'Firework' singer slid a new Instagram carousel into the feed, casually mixing a photo of Justin Trudeau, 54, with a grab bag of random personal moments. There were polished shots of Perry, 41, alongside a goofy snap, a tender glimpse of her daughter, and even a clip of the singer biking along the beach.

The carousel featured a collection of unexpected visuals, including leafy greens, a dog, snippets from her tour, and what looked like a costume moment tossed in for good measure.

“Never knew karma could be so rewarding," Perry captioned the image.

A long-distance love story

The latest peek comes as Perry and Trudeau’s relationship continues to inch closer into the spotlight. The two first set tongues wagging when they were spotted together in Montréal back in July 2025. By December, the pair had gone Instagram official, effectively confirming what fans had already started to piece together.

Since then, it’s been a balancing act of geography and family life. According to a source who spoke to People in March, “the priority for both of them is stability for the kids,” adding, “Katy and Justin have had to be flexible to make the relationship work.”

“They travel whenever they can to spend time together. The long-distance dynamic was never a surprise to them,” the insider added.

The source also noted that both Perry and Trudeau “understood from the beginning that their lives were complicated and that it wouldn’t be the easiest relationship logistically,” but “really wanted to see where things could go, and have been determined to make it work.”

That determination appears to have already been tested. Perry wrapped her massive Lifetimes tour in December after nearly 100 shows, the kind of schedule that would make most relationships buckle. Trudeau, however, reportedly made a point to show up.

“She fell for him early on because he really showed that he was interested,” the source said. “They’ve already had to navigate a lot of logistics. The fact that they’ve been willing to do that says a lot about how serious they are about each other.”

Family moments and inside jokes

Trudeau’s son Xavier weighed in on the relationship earlier this year, revealing in a February Instagram video that he’s met Perry and that he’s on board.

“She’s cool, she’s nice,” he said. “We talked for hours, talking about my music. She gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff.”

Meanwhile, Perry has been quietly folding Trudeau into her Instagram presence. A recent post featured a selfie of the pair, with Perry pulling a deliberately funny face. Another showed Trudeau holding a wand made of pipe cleaners while sitting at the dinner table, topped off with a matching pipe cleaner headband.

On March 27, Perry shared another carousel from a date night. “How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were?” she asked in the caption.

One photo in that set showed the pair holding up their phones with results from a Function test measuring “biological age.”

Perry clocked in at 33.1, while Trudeau landed at 43, both comfortably younger than their actual age.
