Kelly Clarkson told Jesse Eisenberg during the show, "I am deeply in love with you. Your energy right now, I can match it, man!" She explained that she could relate to Eisenberg’s fizzy energy and rapid speech patterns, per the outlet.
Eisenberg said, "My general status is panic attack." She replied, "Mine’s not panic attack, mine’s like, ‘Let’s do it!’ But we’re running on 11!"
The actor replied, "Oh, got it. So I’m the bad side of your good. I wake up like this and then I can’t fall asleep like this."
During the early part of the interview, Clarkson burst into laughter when Eisenberg described himself as a "generally not a fun person" who is not as invested in Halloween as his wife Anna Strout, or their son.
He said, "I’m more the itinerary — I stay back with the notepad, navigation guy. We did 22nd Street,’ you know, that kind of thing."
Jesse Eisenberg gives Kelly Clarkson some tips on trick-or-treat
Jesse Eisenberg also gave Kelly Clarkson a few tips on how to successfully go trick-or-treating with her two children after they had a rough go in 2023.
He said, "The trick is to find a building and then just stay in the building — especially if it’s not your building because you don’t want to see those people again after you take their candy."
He added, "And especially if you have my level of enjoyment of life: you want to stay inside a building."
Clarkson mentioned that being surrounded by so many people during trick-or-treating wasn't fun for her family. She said, "I got real Texan in one moment. I was like, 'This is gonna end up on TMZ.'"
