Kendrick Lamar’s surprise new album 'GNX' sparks wave of Drake memes
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kendrick Lamar dropped a new album on Friday, November 22, giving his fans an early holiday present.
The new release, titled ‘GNX’, also resulted in a plethora of Drake memes as the 12-track record follows his high-profile feud with the Canadian rapper without naming him, as reported by Complex.

The lyrics of the opening track, 'Wacced out murals, goes like: “N***** from my city couldn’t entertain old boy / Promisin’ bank transactions and even bitcoin / I never peaced it up, that s**t don’t sit well with me,” seem to be taking the feud forward.
The next song named ‘Squabble up’ in the album also seems to refer to the 'God's Plan' rapper as it says, “I got friends, I got foes, but they all sittin’ ducks / Hit his turf and get crackin’, double back like a deluxe.”
Kendrick Lamar and Drake had cordial relationship but friendship turned sour
Kendrick Lamar and Drake had been in a cordial relationship initially. The two had even worked together with the ‘Not Like Us’ singer featuring on Drake’s ‘Take Care’ album.
The two even collaborated on ‘Poetic Justice’. But eventually friendliness turned sour, sparked by Lamar’s song ‘Like That’.
Meanwhile, the new album reportedly pays homage to Tupac Shakur and also mentions his issues with Snoop Dogg in the opening track as it says, “Snoop posted 'Taylor Made,' I prayed it was the edibles/ I couldn't believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”
However, what has caught people’s attention most is his subtle dig at Drake.
