Kevin Costner does not want to date Hollywood actresses and ‘likes a more average woman,’ claims insider
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin Costner is reportedly looking for love after divorce from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, however, he has his preferences set.
A source close to the star told OK! Magazine that the 70-year-old actor “wants to meet someone” and his friends are also “trying to set him up.”
They, however, continued that the ‘Yellowstone’ star does not want to date “Hollywood actresses and Hollywood people. He likes a more average woman.”
Kevin Costner wants to spend time with his children
The insider also noted that Kevin Costner likes to spend time with family and friends. He is the father of seven children. He shares Annie, 40, Lily, 38, and Joe, 36, with first wife, Cindy Silva.
He also has a 28-year-old son Liam with ex Bridget Rooney and three children — Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and 14-year-old Grace with Baumgartner.
The source said, “Any free time [Kevin] has, he wants to spend with them,” before they noted that the ‘Dances with Wolves’ actor also has a “very tight social circle of longtime friends,” most of whom “aren't famous” as he “prefers life outside of the spotlight.”
However, a source told Us Weekly that for the actor, “2025 is all about figuring out his projects and carving out time for his personal life.”
“He wants to get out more and maybe meet the right person. He feels optimistic.”
Jennifer Lopez is impressed with Kevin Costner
While Kevin Costner has reportedly no interest in actresses, there’s one who might like to date him.
The filmmaker ignited romance rumors with Jennifer Lopez after they were spotted at hotspot Kemo Sabe in Aspen, Colorado, in December 2024.
Talking about it, a tipster shared, “Kevin has a lot of the qualities she’s looking for in her next man. He’s incredibly successful and commands a huge amount of respect in the industry.”
Regarding what Lopez, who divorced Ben Affleck in January, thinks of Costner, they added that she “loves how passionate Kevin is about making movies,” and she is “among those inspiring him to hit the gym and prove age is just a number.”
Hoda Kotb is probably interested in Kevin Costner
However, not just ‘The Mother’ star but former ‘Today’ show host Hoda Kotb has also shown her interest in Kevin Costner.
After the ‘Horizon: An American Saga’ actor appeared on ‘Today’, host Andy Cohen told Kotb in July 2024 on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ that “viewers want the two of you together.”
The 60-year-old broadcaster playfully replied, “Well, if the viewers want it.”
