The singer and actress is reportedly stepping away from relationships and entering a period of self-reflection following her breakup with Ben Affleck.

Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with Ben Affleck, famously dubbed "Bennifer" spanned two decades and two engagements.
After rekindling their romance in 2022 and tying the knot, Lopez opened up about the emotional toll their initial breakup in 2003 had on her.
She admitted that when they called off their wedding back then, it felt like she "was going to die".
Unfortunately, Bennifer 2.0 also met a sad end in 2024, leaving Lopez heartbroken once again.
“This year’s heartbreak really did a number on her,” a source said, as per The Mirror.
Lopez is now “determined to turn all this heartbreak into her superpower, to take ownership of any self-destruction and make changes", according to a source who added that 'The Mother' star has promised not to feel sorry for herself.
In line with this commitment, she is “moving forward with a new outlook on life” and entering a self-love era as “she’s taking a break from men – a year off at least".
Despite the pain, she’s doing some introspection, focusing on herself after four divorces and the end of her relationship with the man she once called the love of her life.

Although rumors have swirled from both sides painting conflicting pictures of Lopez and Affleck’s relationship, one thing remains clear: Lopez's love for Affleck was genuine.
“She was all in. She thought Ben was, too,” the source added.
Jennifer Lopez's personal projects struggle
For Ben Affleck, the source highlighted that he is “afraid” that Jennifer Lopez has been candidly “sharing too much” about him and his struggles, which contributed to their relationship spiralling out of control.
She reportedly became “super overprotective” of Affleck due to his history of alcohol abuse, but this approach backfired, leading the Hollywood star to resentfully fear that she “is making him look like the bad guy in the relationship".
Unfortunately, Lopez’s personal struggles coincided with challenges in her career.
Three of her major projects this year—'This is Me…Now' (both the film and the album) and 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told' (a documentary)—were deeply personal but failed to resonate with audiences.
The documentary, in particular, only gained traction after news of her split with Affleck surfaced.
Things didn’t improve in May when her Netflix sci-fi movie 'Atlas' underperformed, contributing to a difficult year professionally.
Facing low ticket sales, Lopez had to cancel her summer concert tour, though she publicly attributed the decision to wanting more time with her children, family, and friends.
Despite their separation, Lopez and Affleck have been spotted together recently, accompanied by their families.
Lopez has reportedly grown “close” to Affleck’s children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
While Lopez plans to maintain her bond with them, Affleck has reportedly cut ties with Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, whom she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
