NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Stephen Colbert just got roasted like a Thanksgiving turkey, all thanks to 'Shark Tank's' Kevin O’Leary.

The longtime 'The Late Show' host found himself in the crosshairs of the conservative mogul, who didn't hold back during an appearance on CNN’s 'NewsNight' on July 22. O’Leary called Colbert “a moron” and “dumb” for unleashing a profane shot at President Donald Trump, before even cashing out on his own show’s cancellation.

“Only a moron would tell the president to F-off before he gets his check,” O’Leary declared, referring to Colbert’s July 21 monologue, where he lashed out at Trump in an expletive-laden outburst.

CBS announced it was pulling the plug on 'The Late Show.' Donald Trump wasted no time celebrating the news, posting that the comedian’s “talent was even less than his ratings.”

Stephen Colbert responded on-air, "How dare you, sir? Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism?: Go f**k yourself."

But Kevin O’Leary thinks the timing couldn’t have been worse. He claimed Colbert’s contract includes a “change of control” clause, meaning he’s due a major payout, unless he tanks it with reckless behavior.

“Here’s the problem for Colbert,” O’Leary explained. “His contract is a payout contract through a transaction where there’s a change of control. Only a moron would tell the president to F-off before he gets his check.”

According to the 'Shark Tank' star, Colbert may have just talked himself into a courtroom. “So what’s going to happen now, in my opinion, is tomorrow, CBS, his boss, will fire him, and they will litigate for the next five years his payout.”

Stephen Colbert blasts CBS and Paramount

Stephen Colbert also took aim at his own network, CBS, and its parent company, Paramount, accusing them of “playing footsie with Trump” while attempting to frame his show’s cancellation as a purely “financial” decision.

This came after Paramount reportedly agreed to pay $16 million to Trump’s future presidential library to settle a lawsuit, right in the middle of an $8 billion merger that still requires federal approval.

“I believe this kind of complicated financial settlement with a sitting government official has a technical name in legal circles: it’s 'big, fat bribe,’” Colbert said, just days before his show was axed.

Some Democrats are questioning whether this was a routine cancellation or thinly veiled political retribution.

Senators Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Ron Wyden have launched an investigation into whether Skydance, which is set to acquire Paramount, was involved in a “potential secret Trump payoff connected to [the] Paramount deal.”

Reports also suggest Trump may have secured millions in “public service announcements” that promote conservative messaging.

Kevin O’Leary erupts on CNN, joins Donald Trump in late-night takedown

Donald Trump has repeatedly put Stephen Colbert on blast over the years. In September, he even called for his contract to be terminated. “He is not funny, which he gets paid far too much to be, he is not wise, he is VERY BORING, and his show is dying from a complete lack of viewers,” Trump posted on Truth Social at the time.

Back on CNN, Kevin O’Leary agreed. “That’s the problem with him. He’s not funny,” he jabbed. “And by the way, if the CBS bosses don’t whack him, I’ll do it for them.”

“I’d fire that guy in four seconds if I were running the show,” he declared. “There. Gone! And then let him litigate for his cash.”

He continued, “That guy is dumb! Whack him! Whack him!” as other panelists reportedly tried to push back. Although O’Leary routinely spars with his fellow CNN guests, he was in rare form Monday night, so much so that host Abby Phillip had to step in when he brushed off the Epstein-Trump scandal by saying, “Nobody gives a poop.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s list of late-night enemies keeps growing. He’s previously called Jimmy Kimmel “one of the dumbest human beings ever,” Jimmy Fallon “not very funny,” and Seth Meyers “dumb and untalented.”
