Khloe Kardashian reportedly blessed ex Lamar Odom, Caitlyn Jenner before duo unexpectedly launched podcast

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sources claim that Khloe Kardashian and her famous family approve of her ex-husband Lamar Odom collaborating with their former stepfather Caitlyn Jenner on their business venture.

According to sources, Khloe and her family were not 'blindsided' by the recent announcement of Caitlyn and Lamar's new podcast, 'Keeping Up With Sports'—a clear nod to the reality show 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'.

While many speculated that the unexpected partnership between the two celebrities would have strained relations between the famous family members, sources close to the retired Olympian insisted there was no issue, per OK! Magazine.

Khloe Kardashian was supportive of Lamar Odom and Caitlyn Jenner collaborating

Sources claimed to TMZ that Caitlyn—who shares daughters Kendall and Kylie with her ex-wife Kris Jenner—communicated with her former stepdaughter Khloe about the possible business venture when the idea was initially planned in 2023.

The insiders claimed that the Good American co-founder was very supportive of Caitlyn and her ex-husband's collaboration and thought it was a great idea for the two retired athletes to get together and talk sports.

While the former NBA player was married to Khloe from 2009 to 2016, Lamar and Caitlyn became very close and have stayed friends ever since.

The sources also stated that Kim Kardashian, Kylie, and Kendall were all informed about the podcast endeavor and given their blessings before it was made public.

However, since Caitlyn and Kris no longer communicate, it is said that Caitlyn never informed Kris about the project.

However, not notifying the matriarch about the podcast hasn't resulted in any ill will. Moreover, it's possible that one of the Kardashian-Jenner girls told the momager about Caitlyn and Lamar's business venture.

Despite linking the reality stars with the show's name, Caitlyn and Lamar have no intention of talking about the Kardashians or Jenners on the podcast; instead, they want to talk about sports and related subjects.

Previously, sources claimed that the Kardashian family was 'blindsided' by the podcast announcement and became convinced that they would be the focus of the show, per Daily Mail.

"The family was blindsided by this, and they feel that they are absolutely going to be discussed on the podcast," said the source at the time.

Lamar Odom and Caitlyn Jenner's podcast deals with sports-related subjects

Caitlyn, Lamar, and Zach Hirsch co-host the show and talk about a range of sports-related subjects. Odom received two NBA championship rings while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, and Caitlyn won a gold medal at the 1976 Olympics.

Besides contributing to the podcast, Lamar established Odom Recovery Group and other treatment centers to help those who were having substance abuse problems, per Radar Online.

Given that Sugar Ray Leonard is a close personal friend of Kris Jenner, the first episode featuring the boxing champion certainly wouldn't have taken place if Kris truly had a problem with Lamar and Caitlyn's business venture.

Caitlyn and Kris were married from 1991 to 2015. Caitlyn stated a year ago that he seldom speaks with his ex-wife. "Kris, I really never talk anymore. If there's any communication, my manager kind of talks to her," Caitlyn remarked at the time.
