Khloe Kardashian's Good American sued for 'wrongful termination' as cancer patient seeks work from home
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Good American, a company of Khloe Kardashian, has come under fire after a former worker accused it of cancer discrimination.
A woman named Brooke has filed a lawsuit against the fashion firm alleging she was taken off her job position after she requested to work remotely because of her cancer treatments, RadarOnline.com reported.
Cancer patient's request was ignored despite her good performance
The publication reported that she sued Good American LLC and Khloe’s business partner, Emma Grede, in her filing.
The 39-year-old media personality’s name has not been mentioned in the filing, which also alleged wrongful termination and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The lawsuit filed by Brooke reportedly noted that she joined the company in 2019 as a Marketing Intern before being promoted to the position of Marketing Coordinator in 2021.
The plaintiff also asserted that she got great reviews while working at Good American as her employers dubbed her a “team player” who worked “strong under pressure.”
The year 2022 reportedly saw her getting the position of Social Media Manager and a higher salary.
Then again at the beginning of 2023, Brooke was given another raise for her good performance.
However, in June last year, she informed about her cancer (non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma) to her bosses by submitting a doctor’s report that said she was under “professional care.”
It has been said that the doctor advised her to work from home since she was “immune-compromised and sick.”
Good American LLC called Brooke’s request not good for company
On July 17, 2023, Brooke asked for permission to work remotely but she was told her plea was “undermining the organization.”
The plaintiff also claimed that on July 26 she found out that an advertisement for her position was released by the firm.

But despite her giving another doctor’s note to Good American, she was fired in October “purported by a company-wide ‘layoff’ of some 12-14 works.”
Now, Brooke is asking for unspecified damages for the alleged issues she faced at Good American.
Internet reacts
Meanwhile, a few online users have expressed their views on the lawsuit.
A person on X tweeted, “WOW, what you need a death certificate to get any compassion, that's so messed up.”
