Kim Kardashian counting on pal Ivanka Trump to set her up with 'power player' on Capitol Hill
WASHINGTON, DC: Ivanka Trump and Kim Kardashian have been friends for a decade, and a source has now revealed that the reality star has been using their friendship to her advantage in an attempt to find herself a man.
Kim and Ivanka reportedly first met in May 2014 at the Met Gala and have been friends since then. 'The Kardashians' star has apparently been depending on her pal to act as a matchmaker after her divorce from her former husband, Kanye West, in November 2022.

Kim Kardashian referred to Ivanka Trump as "the most thoughtful, sweetest soul" in a birthday post from October 2023. The next year, Kim reiterated the notion, telling Ivanka that there was "no one sweeter."
According to an insider, the 44-year-old SKIMS founder feels that spending time with the president's 43-year-old daughter will further help her reputation.
"She’d love to date a power player on Capitol Hill, and no doubt there are plenty of guys out that way who’d leap at the chance to hook up with Kim, too. She’s counting on Ivanka to make it happen," the mole told Intouch Weekly.
"After years of being put down for her naked photo shoots, Kim’s desperate to be taken seriously. She won’t have a hard time attracting attention – Washington, DC is teeming with single bachelors," the source continued.
Kim "wants to be sensible" about dating in DC, according to the source, and "is waiting for Ivanka to set her up with someone suitable."
"She already has heard it's a popular breeding ground for young and unmarried professionals. It’s just a matter of finding the right guy," they added.
The insider concluded by saying, "Kim’s enormously ambitious and linking herself with Ivanka is a no-brainer, even though she’s caught a lot of flak for doing it."
Kim Kardashian has been 'unlucky in love'
Kim Kardashian, who was previously married to Kris Humphries for 72 days in 2011 and to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004, has been "unlucky in love," according to another insider.
Following her split with West in 2021, Kim dated comedian Pete Davidson for nine months followed by an unidentified man (speculated to be Odell Beckham Jr) she called "Fred" at some point in 2023.
"It was fun while it lasted, but right now they’re at different places in life. There are no hard feelings, it just fizzled," a different source said at the time.
"Dating Kim is a lot because of all the publicity that comes along with being her boyfriend. It scares a lot of guys away. It’s probably what torpedoed her romance with Odell, who’s intensely private," they added.
In November 2024, Kim, who shares four children—North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, five—with the 'Runaway' rapper talked candidly about her struggles with feeling "alone" as a single mother.
"Sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, 'Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,'" she said on Zoe Winkler’s 'What the Winkler?' podcast.
"And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself," she added.
