Kim Kardashian 'not ready' to manage daughter North West's growing career: 'It’s a lot of energy'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian is finding it tough to balance her work life with her older daughter North starting her career, People reported on Wednesday, February 5.
The 44-year-old SKIMS co-founder shares North, 11, with her former husband Kanye West. North had a busy year in 2024, featuring in her father's song 'Talking/Once Again' in February, and starring in a production of 'The Lion King' as Young Simba in May. Last month, she featured in FKA Twigs' song 'Childlike Things'.
Kim Kardashian voices her dilemma
In a scene from the upcoming season 6 of 'The Kardashians' obtained by People, Kim Kardashian is seen venting out to her mother Kris Jenner, and sister Khloe Kardashian about her troubles managing her and her daughter's careers.

"I thought I was busy before. North, me having to be her momager right now is crazy. It’s just, it was not on my list. It was not on my Bingo card for this year,” she reportedly states, as Kris observes, "It’s a lot of work. It’s a lot of energy.”
“And I’m not ready,” adds Kim.
Khloe quips, "You’re like, I have my own s**t to manage," which leads Kim to further elaborate on her issue.
"If she has a shoot, I have to be there all day, so it’s like her or me,” she says. "I’m really conflicted on my daughter’s career, so we’re going to talk about that soon. I just really want to make sure that everything’s really well balanced. All of the work experiences are balanced out with just enough fun life experiences. I just want balance.”
Kim Kardashian on taking on 'momager' role
During her appearance on Erin and Sara Foster's 'World's First Podcast' earlier in January, Kim Kardashian opened up about taking on the role of a manager in the lives of her four children as they get older.
On the subject of North, she stated at the time, "She'll get an offer to do a photo shoot or something. And like, we really sit and talk about it as a family. Like, 'Should she do this? What's too much? What's not?'"

Kim shared her duties as a mother, saying, "That's just in my contracts, like no matter what I do, no matter work, like I have to take my kids to school. That's just my time with them. It's the morning madness."
"I love it. It's amazing. And then when they work and I have to be there, I have to see every last thing. I'm just like, it has to be worth it for us to make a decision," she continued.
"You know, if North has something and I have to take off filming to do something with her, it just has to be a family decision. And really important to her," Kim added. "There's so much that I've stopped because it's too much, and I'm really not ready to be a momager, and I'm kind of forced into this."

Internet tells Kim Kardashian to let North 'be a kid'
Netizens reacting to the news on the social media platform Facebook insisted that North does not need to have a career at her age and should focus on being a child. The following comments demonstrate their takes.
"An 11-year-old does not need a career. Especially when she has been in the spotlight her entire life," wrote a person.
"Let her be a kid. She has her whole life to have a career," shared another.
"Every 11-year-old needs to begin a career...NOT!" exclaimed a third.
"11-year-olds don’t have 'careers'… they go learn and go to school… Don’t force adulthood on any child," noted a fourth.
"She should worry about her education, not her career," echoed a fifth.
