"The Judd Foundation in its documents submitted to the court accused Clements Design of "trademark infringement, copyright infringement, unfair competition, false advertising, and false endorsement." It also alleged that Kim publicized "that fake furniture as being authentic DONALD JUDD furniture even when she knew that it was not genuine."
The papers also noted, “Consumers are likely to believe Judd Foundation and the Donald Judd brand are connected or affiliated with, or otherwise sponsored or endorsed Ms Kardashian.”
The lawsuit further says, “Judd Foundation categorically prohibits customers from using purchased Donald Judd furniture for marketing and promotional purposes.”
Megan Bannigan, the foundation's lawyer, said, “It is lower quality than Donald Judd’s furniture. We don’t want to be mixed up with Kim Kardashian. We respect what she does, but we don’t want to be involved with this,” The New York Times reports.
