Travis Barker feels 'threatened' by Kourtney Kardashian's ex Scott Disick
In conversations with Daily Mail on Wednesday, July 10, insiders claimed that Kourtney fostered her close bond with the drummer of Blink-182 at the expense of her friends and relatives.
According to the Daily Mail source, Travis felt "threatened" by Scott's continued connection with Kourtney's family.
"When Travis got together with Kourtney on the heels of her and Scott’s long romance, he felt threatened by Scott," the source revealed.
The source also added, "Travis made it awkward for Scott to be around the family when he was there. His constant kissing and groping of Kourtney was his weapon and he knew that it would keep Scott out of the picture - and it did at the time."
"Travis needed Scott to know that Kourtney was his now and, as a result, it caused Scott to distance himself from the Kardashians," the source said.
Since beginning her relationship with Travis, Kourtney has also had minimal contact with her former female friends.
Travis, aged 48, and Kourtney, aged 45, started dating in 2021, quickly captivating fans with their intense and widely publicized relationship.
The couple married the following year, first in Las Vegas, then in Santa Barbara, and finally in the picturesque town of Portofino, Italy.
The insider further said, "Travis' game plan to get Scott out of the picture backfired tremendously."
"He knows that the Kardashian family's loyalty lies with Scott. Kourtney and Scott's kids also are very loyal to their father and will always side with Scott when it comes to Travis' issues with their dad."
In November 2023, the couple welcomed their baby Rocky, eight years after Kourtney and Scott, 41, officially ended their relationship.
Kourtney and Scott share 3 kids: Mason, 14, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 9.
Kourtney Kardashian's ex Scott Disick remains in constant touch with her family
Kourtney Kardashian started dating Scott Disick in 2006, and their tumultuous journey was documented on the former E! reality show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians.'
They split up multiple times and faced accusations of infidelity, along with Scott's trips to rehab, before ultimately deciding to end their relationship in 2015.
The father-of-three, lovingly referred to as "Lord Disick," stayed in touch with Kourtney's family and continued to appear on the show as they worked through the challenges of co-parenting.
However, Kourtney's romance with Travis was in full swing when the show changed its name to 'The Kardashians' and made the abrupt move to Hulu in 2022.
Scott also revealed that he was no longer as close to his ex, acknowledging that it had been "a huge adjustment losing her as a best friend."
Scott returned for season three in May 2023, following the reported $2 million deal he inked with the matriarch Kris Jenner, 68. The "momager" made it abundantly evident on Instagram that Scott was not going anywhere.
She stated, "Scott will NEVER be excommunicated from our family. He's the father of my grandchildren and a special part of our family. We love him and this is not true."
Kourtney Kardashian reportedly has strained relationships with sisters Kim and Khloe
Reports indicate that the Poosh founder has a strained relationship with her sisters Kim and Khloe Kardashian, aged 40, viewing them more as "coworkers" than siblings.
The insider spilled, "Kourtney started discarding everyone in her life when Travis came into the picture and, since then, it has got progressively worse to the point where she doesn’t seem to care about associating with anyone from her old life."
"Kourtney barely talks to Khloe and Kim anymore, aside from when they are filming the show."
"She has pushed them away and deals with them as if they are her coworkers. Things are very fake and forced when filming the show," the insider continued.
Additionally, it is believed that Kourtney has also ended friendships with longtime companions Melissa Kolker, Stephanie Shepherd, Allie Rizzo, Courtenay Semel, Brittny Gastineau, and Poosh employee Sarah Howard.
