LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kristen Bell is no stranger to Hollywood acclaim, but the actress may soon add "talk show queen" to her already impressive resume.

Following her upcoming hosting gig for Netflix's presentation of the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, industry insiders are buzzing about Bell as a contender to fill the void left by Ellen DeGeneres' departure from daytime television, as reported by Life & Style.

“Being real here, acting is not exactly Kristen’s first love,” shares a source. “She’s good at it, and she had a hit this year with 'Nobody Wants This', which will continue on Netflix with more episodes, but Kirsten’s gift is connecting with people on a real level, as herself, and getting them to trust her.”

Having previously hosted the SAG Awards in 2018, Bell’s return to helm the February 23 event signals her growing presence in the hosting world.

"Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” the Michigan native said in a press release. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best, celebrating ourselves.”

Netflix’s acquisition of the SAG Awards has only bolstered Bell’s appeal as a future talk show host, especially with the awards show expected to attract more viewers than ever before. "This gig sends a strong message to Hollywood and Netflix that Kristen could be a 'new Oprah' or 'new Ellen,' even surpassing Drew Barrymore or Kelly Clarkson," notes the insider.

Bell has been considered for a daytime talk show for years. With Ellen DeGeneres out of the spotlight, Bell’s rising profile and proven hosting chops may finally propel her into the role of America’s next talk show icon.

Kristen Bell has once again proven her dedication to making a difference. The actress teamed up with social media influencer Tommy Marcus, better known as Quentin Quarantino, to launch a campaign that raised over $100,000 to help individuals struggling with medical expenses, reported by The Wrap.

Marcus detailed the campaign on Instagram, explaining that each day for a week, the team selected a health-related GoFundMe page and encouraged followers to donate. Once a fundraiser reached half its goal, Bell stepped in to match the remaining amount. "The next one needs around $50K raised, so once it hits $25K from followers, you donate $25K and we move on to the next one?" Marcus proposed in a message to Bell.

Bell enthusiastically responded, "YES!! TOMMY LET’S DO IT! We need to do more things like this, the world needs it."

Among the beneficiaries of Bell’s generosity were a third-grader named Mia, battling leukemia, and a man named Murilo facing the same diagnosis. Bell contributed $20,932 and $24,182 to their respective fundraisers and shared their GoFundMe pages with her followers to amplify support.

The campaign’s success was overwhelming. Marcus shared that Mia’s fundraiser reached and exceeded its $50,000 goal within just 20 minutes, ultimately raising $53,056. "This is some of the most important and impactful work we’ve ever done," Marcus reflected on Instagram, praising Bell for her role in catalyzing the initiative.

Though Marcus acknowledged the unfortunate necessity of such campaigns without universal healthcare, he emphasized the collective power of generosity. "Until we can change the system, this is the reality. And we can be the helpers," he wrote.

Bell is also celebrating the renewal of her hit Netflix rom-com series 'Nobody Wants This' for a second season.
