Kristen Bell divides viewers as she sings 'Frozen' parody alongside a montage of nominees at SAG Awards

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards saw Kristen Bell hosting the event for the second time. 

The 44-year-old kicked off the awards ceremony held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, February 23, by performing a parody of a hit song from her film 'Frozen', as per the Irish Star.

During the opener of the event, Kristen Bell sang 'Do You Want To Be An Actor?' to the tune of 'Do You Want To Build A Snowman?' from her 2013 Disney film 'Frozen'.

As she sang, a montage played on the screen and it touched on the early roles of the actors present in the crowd, including Jeff Goldblum, Demi Moore, and Timothee Chalamet, among others.

The montage commemorated Selena Gomez's first TV appearance in 'Barney' as a child and Jamie Lee Curtis' first role in the horror classic 'Halloween' back in the 1970s.

As the montage started playing, Bell sang, "Do you want to be an actor? Let's put your foot inside the door."

'The Good Place' actress continued, "Can you scream a lot on Halloween, or be a beauty queen, or hug a purple dinosaur..."

She further sang, "Are you ready for your breakout as an unnamed man?" while referring to Collin Farrell and added, "Or patient in ICU" as the montage of a young Chalamet played on screen.

The montage also featured celebs such as Harrison Ford, Elle Fanning, Jeff Bridges, Andrew Scott, Cate Blanchett, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Segel, Michelle Yeoh, Jodie Foster, and Kathy Bates, among others.

Internet divided over Kristen Bell singing 'Frozen' parody at 2025 SAG Awards

Netizens had mixed reactions to host Kristen Bell singing a 'Frozen' parody while a montage of every nominee played in the background at the SAG Awards 2025. 

One wrote, "I absolutely love this! Seeing their reactions live too. Oh to be reminded of your humble beginnings. Priceless," and another added, "The SAG awards are bringing the entertainment the oscars have been missing."

A person said, "Oh wow, this is something but impressive and funny," while someone else mentioned, "She’s fantastic. She always does voiceovers and sings and people don’t know it’s her. I’ll always love her as Veronica Mars."



 



 



 



 

Meanwhile, someone who wasn't impressed with the opening expressed, "Do you want to build a snowman joke in 2025??" and another person commented, "WHAT THE ACTUAL F*** IS GOING ON? WHO WROTE THIS? Is this part of the humiliation rituals??? This is disgusting, not funny. Missed the mark."

"Not the Frozen parody," an individual snarked, while one more claimed, "She can’t stay in tune for s**t."
