Flay was a guest on the episode and shared his perspective on the event as the two recounted their awkward encounter, according to the Daily Mail.

Kristin Cavallari, 37, recalled that Bobby Flay, 59, had invited her to dinner during their discussion on the podcast, as reported by the publication.
"I DMed you and I said to you … 'I’m going to be in Nashville for one night, can I take you to dinner?,'" Flay shared, helpfully. "And you literally said something to me like, 'I’m already dating somebody.'"
Cavallari mentioned, "Or I was like, 'I’m over dating right now.' I was burnt out on dating or something," reflecting that her recollection of the conversation was a bit different.
However, Flay seemed to take it seriously as he maintained his version of events, laughing as he said, "No, you said, 'I’ve already started seeing somebody!' And I replied, 'I just want to go to dinner with you.'"
The media personality emphasized that she shouldn't have interpreted the dinner invitation as having romantic implications, stating, "It was like foot in mouth. I think the 'take you to dinner' thing is more where it was like, 'Oh, that seems like a date.'"
