LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In an interview with Elle for their November cover story, Kylie Jenner, now 27, opened up about the challenges of becoming a mother at just 19 and the lasting impact it had on her.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder recalled her pregnancy with her daughter Stormi, now 6, whom she shares with ex Travis Scott, and shared the most surprising part of the experience.

“I got pregnant when I was 19. Having a baby really young was more shocking, maybe, because I saw these changes happening to my body all these new stretch marks and things that I didn’t have before," Jenner said.

She also spoke about her struggles with postpartum depression, describing her early days as a mom as feeling like she was "on autopilot." Fortunately, her family and friends were there to support her during that time.

Kylie later welcomed her second child, son Aire, now 2, and shared how motherhood has shaped her 20s. "The first part of my twenties was having children, learning what my personal style was and then losing it, not knowing how to dress, gaining 60 pounds for both pregnancies," Jenner admitted.

She added that it took her a full year after each birth to feel like herself again but feels “more confident” than ever at 27.

Although Jenner herself grew up in the public eye, she’s intent on keeping Stormi and Aire shielded from social media for as long as possible. “When I do share my children, I want it to come from me or their father," she said, adding, "It’s no socials for as long as possible.”

Still, Stormi has already picked up a few TikTok dance moves. "Stormi will come home and she’ll know full TikTok dances, I’m like, 'Where did you learn this?’"

Jenner said with a laugh, adding that her kids can’t have social media accounts “until they move out of the house."
