PARIS, FRANCE: Lady Gaga lit up the River Seine with a stunning performance that left the audience spellbound in a dazzling theatrical flair and musical performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
During the opening performance of the event, Gaga who emerged from a cluster of pink feathers and danced on a gold staricase performed the French song 'Mon Truc En Plume' by Zizi Jeanmaire, according to People.

Lady Gaga's homage to French ballerina Zizi Jeanmaire's 1965 appearance on the 'Ed Sullivan' show through her performance was a spectacle to behold, backed by a full band which also included a vibrant horn section and a crew of dancers.
The singer also made a minor costume change to signify a shift in the performance, showcasing her flair for drama and attention to detail.
Gaga's Parisian appearance on July 22 comes after she spilled exciting hints of her bigger projects in her musical career.
“Just me in the studio—happy as ever making music,” she wrote on Instagram on July 18.
“Feel so grateful, heart is peaceful. It’s like meditation. I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on," she added.

Lady Gaga says being welcomed to France for 2024 Olympics is 'a gift' she will 'never forget'
In a lengthy post on Instagram on July 27 after her performance, Lady Gaga expressed gratitude to France and the 2024 Paris Olympics event for asking her to open the international multi-sport event.
"I am also humbled to be asked by the Olympics organizing committee to sing such a special French song—a song to honor the French people and their tremendous history of art, music, and theatre," she said.
After she detailed her homage to Jeanmaire, Gaga continued to thank her invitation to the event as she wrote, "To everyone in France, thank you so much for welcoming me to your country to sing in honor of you—it’s a gift I’ll never forget! Congratulations to all the athletes who are competing in this year’s Olympic Games!"
"It is my supreme honor to sing for you and cheer you on!! Watching the Olympic Games always makes me cry! Your talent is unimaginable. Let the games begin!" she concluded her post.
