LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lady Gaga is looking forward to starting a family.

The 'Do What U Want' singer, 38, shared this ahead of the release of her new album, 'Mayhem', in an interview on Thursday, March 6.

Lady Gaga really 'wants to be a mom'

Less than a year after getting engaged to entrepreneur Michael Polansky, Lady Gaga has expressed her desire to become a mother in the next decade.

The singer has openly discussed motherhood before, revealing in past interviews that she and Polansky have talked about having children.

Gaga shared her heartfelt wish to have children, describing it as her greatest vision while talking to Access Hollywood.

"I really want to be a mom," Gaga said quietly, smiling. "The greatest vision I have is that," she added.

The singer got engaged to Polansky in 2024 after being romantically linked to him since 2020.

In a January interview with Elle, she revealed that she and Polansky had discussed starting a family together and that she felt "ready" to be humbled by the experience of motherhood.

Lady Gaga wants her children to 'be their own people'

Lady Gaga also shared how she wants to raise her children, stressing their individuality and freedom to discover their own identities.

"That's something Michael and I have talked about a lot — allowing our kids to be their own people. It's such an intense thing for kids coming into the world," she told Elle.

"... I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are," she said.

Gaga hopes her children will form their own opinions about her artistry rather than be influenced by others.

"I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them," she shared, adding, "I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me."

She also hopes they recognize that she always did her best. "That I just did my best and tried to stay true to myself along the way," Gaga said.
