Baltimore police probes assault incident after video goes viral
A video of a Ravens supporter viciously assaulting two Washington Commanders fans following the Ravens' victory on Sunday went viral, prompting Baltimore police to seek additional information.
In the video, two Commanders fans were approached by a Ravens fan sporting a Lamar Jackson jersey, seemingly in an attempt to provoke a fight. One fan wearing the former Washington player Sean Taylor's jersey is shown getting kicked by the unidentified Ravens supporter.
The Ravens fan then viciously hooked that supporter in the right, sending him to the ground. A Terry McLaurin jersey-wearing Commanders fan who tried to intervene to break up the brawl was struck in the head, pushed against a wall, and then squirmed free from the screen.
The Ravens supporter then flexed his muscles and yelled to the cameraman, "I don't lose! I don't f**king lose!" while revealing his entire face.
According to a statement to the New York Post, Baltimore Police claimed they are "actively investigating" the incident. In a statement, a spokeswoman stated, "The Baltimore Police Department is aware of a social media video depicting an assault occurring near Cross Street in our Southern District."
"Currently, there have been no reports or calls made to police concerning this incident. Detectives are actively investigating the video. Anyone possessing information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Southern District at 410-396-2499 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-Lockup."
