WASHINGTON, DC: Laura Loomer has accused Kamala Harris of hypocrisy following the Democratic presidential nominee’s remarks about her personal gun ownership while advocating for gun control measures.

The former congressional candidate shared a clip of Harris speaking with Oprah Winfrey, where the vice president stated, "If somebody breaks in my house, they're getting shot," emphasizing her and running mate Tim Walz's identities as gun owners.

Laura Loomer claims Kamala Harris' gun ownership contradicts her advocacy for gun control

The comments surfaced during a two-hour 'Unite for America' livestream event in Michigan, which focused on pressing issues like school shootings.

Loomer, an active supporter of Republican nominee Donald Trump, took to her X account to criticize Harris' statements.

Notably, she modified Harris' quote from "they're getting shot" to "they gon' get shot," arguably incorporating African American Vernacular English (AAVE) in her edit. Loomer alleged that while Harris aims to "take away people's guns," she continues to own her own firearm

This sentiment struck a chord with many commenters on Loomer's post, who voiced doubts about Harris' assertions of being a gun owner, according to Newsweek.

Laura Loomer's previous controversial take on Kamala Harris' potential presidency

Renowned for her vocal criticism of Kamala Harris, Laura Loomer had previously made provocative comments on X, stating, "If Kamala Harris wins, the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center and the American people will only be able to convey their feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that nobody will understand."

Despite Loomer's accusations, both Harris and Walz have been clear about their stance on gun ownership. During a presidential debate, Harris asserted, “This business about taking everyone's guns away—Tim Walz and I are both gun owners. We're not taking anybody's guns away, so stop with the continuous lying about this stuff.”

While Harris' campaign focuses on gun control measures, it does not advocate for the outright confiscation of firearms. Instead, she supports banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, as well as implementing universal background checks.

Internet calls out hypocrisy amid Kamala Harris' gun ownership comments

As Kamala Harris faces criticism for her comments on gun ownership during a recent livestream, social media users are sharing their strong opinions, calling out what they perceive as hypocrisy.

"Rules for thee, but not for me. She'll prosecute us for having weapons while flooding the land with criminals all the while she has whole security teams for her defense. https://arrestedbykamala.com," a user tweeted.

"She is the biggest two faced liar I have ever seen!" another user said. [sic]

"She will say anything to get the vote," a user claimed.

"Listening to her, you realize she's a complete moron, or you are one. There's only those two options," a user stated.

"I cannot listen to either of these women!" read a tweet.

"Guns for me but not for thee. Hypocrisy," penned a user.

"Comrade harris bragging about ruining peoples lives with the, 'swipe of a pen,'" stated another user. [sic]

"A swipe of her pen and she is armed, you are not…," chimed another.

"So it’s ok for her to defend herself but we can’t - hypocrisy is right, wow," claimed a user.
