MIAMI, FLORIDA: Lauren Sanchez caught the attention of netizens as she was spotted flaunting a high-end accessory ahead of her extravagant wedding with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The 55-year-old Sanchez was seen on Friday, March 28, carrying a $5,750 Balenciaga 9 AM coffee cup clutch, according to the Daily Mail. The coffee cup-shaped bag has been slammed on social networking sites such as Reddit over its price as well as functionality.

"This brand just keeps digging itself deeper and deeper into ridicule," a netizen commented on the product, with another observing, "I would accidentally throw it away. There are many other ways to throw away $6,000."

Lauren Sanchez's brother opens up about her lavish wedding plans

Paul Sanchez, brother of the bride-to-be, shared insights about Lauren and Jeff Bezos' wedding plans in an interview with TMZ on Thursday.

"It’s gonna be star-studded and fun. I think it’s gonna be like a Princess Di thing—just huge and fun and just a blast," he stated.

The wedding of the late Princess Diana and King Charles took place on July 29, 1981, at St Paul's Cathedral in London, and was watched by approximately 750 million people across the globe.

Her wedding dress was designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel and featured a 25-foot train, the longest in royal wedding history, made of ivory taffeta and antique lace.

Lauren has reportedly picked out her wedding dress with the help of Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine. While the details of the dress haven't been made public, the engagement ring with which Jeff proposed to Lauren apparently cost him $2.5 million.

When asked whether Lauren or Jeff was in charge of planning the lavish Venice, Italy, wedding, Paul said with a laugh, "I have no idea. I talk to my sister three or four times a week, but she hasn’t mentioned much about the wedding. They’re so busy."

On the subject of ideal gifts for the uber-wealthy couple, Paul noted, "I have no clue. We’re trying to figure that out." He shared that the couple would prefer "a donation to their favorite charity kind of thing" over traditional presents, adding that his sister "has a heart of gold. She’s just a great human being."

Internet trolls Lauren Sanchez over her choice of accessory

Netizens reacting to Lauren Sanchez flaunting a Balenciaga coffee cup bag in the run-up to her expectedly extravagant wedding trolled her on the Daily Mail website.

One wrote, "It just shows how shallow she is. How absolutely ridiculous," and another said, "When people already know how wealthy you are, this behavior just comes across as trying hard and desperate for attention. It also comes across as foolishness due to the unnecessary waste."

A person said, "More money than sense, just ridiculous and unnecessary," while someone else added, "Money can not buy common sense."

"The rich just need more stupid stuff!" chided one more, while another person remarked, "They live in a bubble, totally unaware of how selfish and greedy they appear."
