NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The formidable Manhattan legal firm Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks, representing many of the biggest names in music, has dismissed troubled rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs amid ongoing allegations.
However, according to her lawyers, the claim that Lady Gaga is the reason behind the law firm dumping the music mogul is untrue.
Lady Gaga has nothing to do with law firm dropping Sean 'Diddy' Combs
The corporation has rectified the allegations that Lady Gaga, 38, threatened to part ways with her powerful New York legal counsel, Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks, if they didn't sever relations with the disgraced rapper, 54.
"The decision to part ways with Mr Combs was proactively made by the partners in the firm a number of months ago as they felt it was the right thing to do," a representative for the renowned Manhattan law firm told Page Six.
According to the outlet, the music entrepreneur was dismissed at least eight weeks ago because of the seriousness and volume of the accusations against him. Diddy is the subject of numerous cases involving claims of rape and sex trafficking.
Pop sensation Lady Gaga is one of the greatest personalities in entertainment represented by Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks. NewsNation revealed on Friday, June 28, that Diddy was let go by the company as a result of pressure from the 'Poker Face' hitmaker.
However, the spokeswoman responded, "The report that the decision was the result of client pressure just isn’t true."
According to the initial story, Gaga was "too big to lose" and "said she was leaving [the firm] if they didn’t drop Diddy." Those assertions, however, have proven to be untrue.
The insider told Page Six that GSM&S fired the rapper as a result of the assault accusations.
Diddy is currently facing a deluge of lawsuits alleging sexual assault and human trafficking. Additionally, the 'Coming Home' singer is accused of mistreating those who have worked for him.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs was client of Manhattan legal firm for over two decades
As per the NewsNation report, Diddy had a close connection with renowned attorney Allen Grubman and had even been known to visit his Hampton residence before the mogul's downfall, per the New York Post.
The report stated that the company's greatest concern was that other audacious performers would rush to leave if Gaga said goodbye.
In November 2022, Grubman—a creator of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame—became the first active attorney to be inducted.
Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Lil Nas X, Madonna, The Weeknd, U2, and Drake are only a few names of the former and current clientele of GSM&S.
Diddy has been persona non grata ever since the moment allegations of his alleged twisted conduct arose.
Mayor Adams canceled Diddy's access to New York City within three weeks of the disturbing video of the rap mogul assaulting his ex-girlfriend leaking to the public.
