Leah Remini has become Jennifer Lopez's 'de facto divorce coach' as they reconnect amid their splits
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez’s long-time friend Leah Remini has allegedly become the 55-year-old actress’s “de facto divorce coach” amid their respective divorces.
It was rumored recently that amid her divorce from Ben Affleck, the ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer is leaning toward her old friend Remini - who is also in the middle of her own divorce from her husband Angelo Pagan.
A source recently spoke to In Touch, revealing that the 'King of Queens' star’s “no-nonsense” attitude toward divorce is helping Lopez to cope with her divorce after spending months in uncertainty of a prospective reunion with Affleck.

The source close to the two divas shared, “Leah is an extremely tough character, she’s had to be after all the stress she’s endured at the hands of Scientology.”
“Her no-nonsense, don’t take any crap kind of attitude is music to JLo’s ears right now because she spent so many months being tortured by Ben over the prospect of a potential reunion,” explained the source.
Finally, Lopez drew the line to her marriage when she filed for divorce from her Oscar-winner husband on their second anniversary on August 20, two years after tying the knot in 2022.
In her court filing, which she did on her own without an attorney, Lopez cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason while marking April as the date of their separation.
The insider further dished that Remini -- with whom Lopez has reconnected in the wake of their divorces -- was always against Lopez “marrying Ben [Affleck].”
The source shared that Lopez’s decision to marry the ‘Argo’ actor despite Remini’s caution, in turn, “pretty much ruined their friendship the last couple years.”
“But they’re back on great terms again and closer than ever and she’s now assumed being J. Lo’s de facto divorce coach,” noted the source.
They continued, “She’s more than happy to take it on and give her all the support she needs. All of J Lo’s friends are disgusted by Ben right now and Leah is no exception.”
The source explained, “Leah isn’t a vengeful person, but she’s also never afraid to speak her mind, so Ben would be smart not to do anything more to upset JLo.”
“Leah’s going through her own break-up right now, although it’s very amicable by all accounts, but still the timing is good because she can be by JLo’s side non-stop and they can help each other with their new normal,” concluded the source.

As the two friends are facing their impending divorces, another source previously opened up to the same outlet saying that they have reconnected after years of not speaking with each other.
Another source previously revealed to In Touch that the ‘The King of Queens’ star reached out to Lopez after learning about her friend’s marital troubles.
"Jennifer wanted her friend’s support. However, Leah saw the writing on the wall and straight out told her marrying Ben was a bad idea," spilled an insider to the outlet.
Continuing, the source spilled to In Touch, “Ironically, the timing couldn’t have been better. Now they have each other to lean on.”
Nevertheless, as a good friend that she is, Remini has apparently no intention of saying Lopez “told you so” on her face regarding her divorce, revealed a source to Page Six in May.
As Lopez ended her marriage by filing for the papers in the Los Angeles County Court, Remini too filed for her papers by herself.
