Leah Remini warns of ‘very scary’ Scientology infiltration in Trump administration
WASHINGTON, DC: Actress and longtime Scientology critic Leah Remini sounded the alarm on social media on Tuesday, December 30, saying it is "very scary" to see what she described as members of the Church of Scientology in and around President Donald Trump’s orbit and the federal government.
Remini’s comments drew renewed attention to her ongoing campaign against the controversial religion she left more than a decade ago.
Yes, this is accurate, Erick, and very scary.

Thank you for always being aware of the dangers of Scientology and their successful infiltration of the Trump administration and the federal government overall.
Leah Remini warns of Scientology's 'successful infiltration' of Trump admin and federal government
Remini shared her concern in an X post on Tuesday while responding to conservative radio host Erick Erickson, who observed that there have been a “lot of Scientologists hanging out in the President’s orbit lately.”
“Yes, this is accurate, Erick, and very scary,” the 'Saved by the Bell' actress replied.
“Thank you for always being aware of the dangers of Scientology and their successful infiltration of the Trump administration and the federal government overall,” said Remini.
Remini, who left Scientology back in 2013, hasn’t been shy about calling the church dangerous and controlling.
She’s raised the alarm over some recent government appointments and public appearances by people tied to Scientology.
What sparked Leah Remini’s warning
Remini didn’t name specific Scientologists in the administration, but her comments came right after people started talking online about high-profile church members showing up around Trump and his circle.
Militant Scientologist Grant Cardone spoke at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally today.

For instance, Patricia Duggan, whom Trump picked for the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees, is a well-known Scientologist.
Then there’s Grant Cardone, a real estate developer and church member, who’s even spoken at Trump rallies before.
After leaving Scientology, Remini accused church leader David Miscavige of physical and emotional abuse and said the religion treats non-celebrity members like cattle compared to stars like Tom Cruise and John Travolta.
She also said the church continues its "fair game" practice established by founder L Ron Hubbard, which calls for the harassment of perceived enemies.
The church responded to Remini by calling her a “bigot” and a “horrible person” after she filed a harassment lawsuit in 2023; the case is currently ongoing.
Journalist Yashar Ali jumped into the conversation too, responding to Erickson’s post.
He pointed out how Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, pushed members to “infiltrate governments and the lives of elected officials.”
This is accurate, and it’s not an accident.

The Scientology policies written by L. Ron Hubbard — which can never be changed and must be followed ruthlessly by every single Scientologist — require Scientologists to infiltrate governments and the lives of elected officials.

“Scientology is not a ‘quirky religion’ or a ‘high-demand group.’ It is a borderless totalitarian state and cult of personality that for its members is no different than North Korea (minus the executions),” Ali wrote in an X post on Monday.
