Lenny Kravitz has ‘no hard feelings’ toward Channing Tatum after Zoe Kravitz split, claims source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lenny Kravitz has been the biggest admirer of daughter Zoe Kravitz and her ex-Channing Tatum since they began dating, but it appears like he has been embracing their recent separation.
The famous musician "understands that these things happen," has "no hard feelings" for Tatum, and "just wants them to both be happy", a source revealed to Page Six.
Zoe Kravitz's ex Channing Tatum 'felt a strong bond' with Lenny Kravitz
Multiple reports to People confirmed that Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz ended their three-year affair after calling off their engagement, leaving fans in shock.
Following the shock split, Zoe's father Lenny Kravitz is said to have "no hard feelings" toward Tatum, despite teasing his daughter's impending wedding earlier this summer.
A source said of Lenny, "He understands that these things happen and just wants them to both be happy."
However, during the past few years, Tatum and Lenny had become "really close," and Tatum "felt a strong bond with Lenny," which was "mutual on Lenny’s end".
Tatum even attended Lenny's induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, per the Cosmopolitan.
Moreover, Lenny previously said a lot of positive things about Tatum and Zoe over the years.
Lenny remarked on 'Radio 2' back in May that Tatum is "a really great guy, he was raised well, so he’s got manners, he’s charming, he’s a soulful human being, and so he’s become part of the family quite quickly".
"He fits and they’re in love. We’re going to have a wedding next year," he said.
In March, Lenny also addressed their relationship and told Sherri Shepherd, "We get on really well...We have our own relationship as well. We hang out. We talk. He’s a very soulful human being. He was raised well. He has manners and class."
Lenny told People that Tatum and Zoe had "something that’s naturally special" and that "they also do the work".
"They are dedicated. That’s what it’s all about. It’s beautiful to watch," he said while gushing over Zoe and Tatum's relationship.
Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz still 'in touch' after calling its quits
Since ending their engagement, Zoe Kravitz, 35, and the 'Magic Mike' star, 44, have reportedly remained in contact and are speaking regularly, an insider revealed to Page Six.
According to reports, the couple held "no bad blood" despite splitting up after three years of dating.
"There was no dramatic falling out between Channing and Zoe. They really just grew apart and decided it was best for them to go their separate ways," the source said.
According to the insider, the couple "came to a mutual realization that they were better off friends than romantic partners" and "both handled the breakup very maturely".
A second source added that the 'Big Little Lies' star has "been in good spirits amidst the breakup, though pals say she’s has a lot on her mind," since the breakup.
A different source revealed to Us Weekly that things "fizzled" between Zoe and Tatum—who connected while filming 'Blink Twice' in 2021—following the movie press tour.
The source said, "Ultimately once the project ended, they realized they were on different pages with what they wanted. It fizzled fast after their press tour wrapped."
"Zoe is a very independent person. After her divorce, she expressed that she didn’t necessarily need to get married again," the insider explained.
"She and Channing are opposites, but they always bonded over their love for art and film, and that is what held them together. They realized long-term that it wasn’t going to work out."
While Zoe prioritizes "her career," Tatum is a "family man" who is "very involved with his daughter," said the insider.
The insider said that the duo "were looking at the long-term bigger picture and realized they may not be a good match".
"There is still a lot of love between them, and [the split] was amicable," said the tipster.
Zoe was previously married to Karl Glusman. After 18 months of marriage, the ex-couple called it quits in January 2021.
For his part, Tatum married Jenna Dewan in July 2009 and they announced their separation in April 2018. Tatum and Dewan's divorce was finalized in September after years of court battles.
