Lip reader decodes Prince Harry’s message to Meghan Markle about Prince William at final royal outing

LONDON, ENGLAND: It has been more than five years since Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle’s royal exit from the British royal family in 2020. However, details from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s last appearance as the senior working royals are still being revealed.
Recently speaking to The Daily Star, lip reader Jeremy Freeman analyzed one of the last joint public appearances of the Sussexes and Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton —the Prince and Princess of Wales— and revealed that there were several signs of frostiness between the couples.

Analyzing the moment when the brothers and their respective wives joined the other members of the royal family on the pews during the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on March 9, 2020, the lip reader revealed what the 40-year-old Duke of Sussex told his wife, which in a way, defined the fizzled out relationship between William and Harry.
Lip reader reveals Prince Harry’s remark to Meghan Markle
As Jeremy Freeman analyzed the situation, he revealed that Prince Harry made a telling comment to his wife about their relationship with his brother and sister-in-law, as reported by the Daily Mail.
As the Sussexes took their seats on the pews, William and Kate too sat down nearby. However, the two couples barely spoke with each other initially, before the future monarch of England started greeting Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Wessex.

After greeting Prince Edward and Sophie, William and Kate turned their attention to the Sussexes. William greeted his younger brother with a curt, “Hello Harry," and the ‘Spare’ author replied, “Hello.”
Meghan, on the other hand, greeted Kate with a smile and said, “Hi.” She also offered a smile to her brother-in-law when she greeted him with a “Hello.”
Following their awkward interaction, Freeman revealed that Harry turned to his wife, and said, “At least they acknowledged, unlike last time.”

William’s reaction to the interaction was also similar, as he looked relieved when he whispered to his wife, “That was executed well.” The Prince of Wales further continued, “It's quite good to connect instead of holding things back like always.”
Confiding in his wife, he added hopefully, “I know it's bad, I ought to have words with him. He'll shout and God knows what but things'll change, won't it?”

While the meeting on the Commonwealth Day Service was strenuous at best, it did little to dissipate the tension between the brothers. Ultimately, later in the same month, Harry and Meghan stepped down from their official duties and flew away to California to start their new life on American soil.
Prince William's 'sensitive gesture of peace' to Prince Harry
Apart from their tense exchange at the Commonwealth Day Service, the event was dotted with several other memorable events, including “a small but sensitive gesture of peace” by Prince William toward his brother, as revealed by royal expert Robert Lacey in his book, ‘Battle of the Brothers’.
Lacey wrote that Harry and Meghan were left fuming when they were informed that they would not be allowed to take part in The Procession of The Queen at the Commonwealth Day Service like the year prior.
Only Queen Elizabeth, then Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton were taking part, revealed the expert.
He wrote, “Harry and Meghan were not included in this senior royal group,” before adding, “As "junior" royals they would have to shuffle their way to their seats that afternoon like any other member of the congregation and take their places on the sidelines alongside their fellow "juniors", Edward and Sophie Wessex.”
However, this unceremonious demotion left Harry reportedly “furious” as he felt bad for being “shunted aside on this final appearance".
However, Lacey wrote that fearing another public royal squabble, William and Kate reportedly offered to join the “emotional” Sussexes as they waited for Queen Elizabeth and then Prince Charles to arrive with his wife.
“It was a small but sensitive gesture of peace,” wrote Lacey before adding, “Within minutes of each other, the two princes and their wives slipped quietly into their seats, and both couples then sat waiting with everyone else for the Queen and Prince Charles to process in senior splendour down the aisle to open the ceremony.”
