Lip readers decode sweet exchange between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after Chiefs' AFC win

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Lip readers revealed the sweet words of Travis Kelce after he found Taylor Swift in the crowd following the tight end’s victory.

The high-profile couple, dating since September 2023 are no strangers to public displays of affection. The duo had fans swooning again after Kelce's romantic gesture after the Kansas City Chiefs triumph over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Needless to say, the public display of affection had all the fans' attention. Body language experts have weighed in on the subtle gestures between the two in front of thousands of fans. 

What did Travis Kelce whisper to Taylor Swift before kissing her? 

Taylor Swift attended the Chiefs game at the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and rushed to the field, teary-eyed, as Travis Kelce and his team secured the victory over the Bills. Swift, joined by Kelce's mother Donna, shared a tender moment with Kelce before they exchanged sweet words and sealed it with a kiss.

Lip readers and fans quickly revealed what Taylor said before the bold display of affection. A lip reader shared with Cosmopolitan that Kelce told Swift, "I love you so much," to which she responded, "I love you. I'm so proud of you." 

One X user, a fan of the high-profile couple, even shared a video of the kiss, captioning it with the exchange: "Travis: I love you so much, Taylor: I love you. I'm so proud of you."

Another lip reader, Jeremy, who spoke to UNILAD, believed that Swift seemed to be praising Kelce for his performance, saying, "That was stunning."

However, even lip reader Freeman found it difficult to decipher what Swift said next, though he speculated it could have been something like, "You stopped the catch-up," referring to Kelce's performance in the game.

Freeman also believed that Swift continued with more praise, saying, "You were sublime, out of this world. That was great."

This moment followed Kelce's crowd interaction, where he led the stadium in a sing-along to 'Get Down Tonight' by KC and The Sunshine Band, with Swift smiling, laughing, and clapping along. After the kiss, the couple linked arms and walked back to the locker room together.

The kiss that Taylor Swift planted on Travis Kelce wasn’t the only standout moment in their PDA-filled celebration, many also noticed her bold gesture while embracing her beau in front of the massive crowd. 

Body language expert Judi James weighed in, pointing out that this was far from an ordinary congratulatory moment. 

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail, James explained, "There are several relationship and status upgrade signals from Taylor here as she appears keen or determined to get and maybe dominate Travis' undivided attention as they celebrate his win."

James continued, "Taylor engages in a powerful eye engage, even taking his face between her two hands to ensure she has his undivided attention, keeping them there to steer and hold his head as they perform a passionate kiss on the mouth." 

She also commented on Swift's behavior, "[She] behaved like an over-excited fan, bouncing at his side and again holding him to gain his attention as she shows him her levels of excitement and joy at his win." 

James added, "This is a much more shared, colluded, collaborative body language performance from Taylor, who looks much keener to share the moment with Travis as a confirmed couple than she had the year before when she modestly melted back into the crowd around him after offering her congratulations."
