Lizzo flaunts weight loss transformation with before-and-after video, here's what Internet has to say

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lizzo's weight loss journey seems to be going well as she shared the before-and-after look in a recent video on Instagram on Wednesday, September 18.

The video consisted of two clips, in the first one, which seems to have been taken when she began her journey, the singer was wearing a black two-piece. In the second clip, Lizzo, donning a gray bodysuit, appeared noticeably slimmer. 

The 'Juice' singer set the clips to the audio of Nicki Minaj saying, "The fact that you would even discuss my looks is insane. I’m a bad b***h, always been a bad b***h."

Nevertheless, the weight transformation did not stop Lizzo, a staunch advocate for body positivity, from declaring her mantra as she captioned her Instagram post, "FINE BOTH WAYS 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨." 

 

In another Instagram post, the 36-year-old rapper showed off her figure in a gray bodysuit and black leather pants. She completed the look with a pair of black lace-up boots.

The 'Truth Hurts' singer's updates about her weight loss came as she is currently on a hiatus from her career.

In August, she took to Instagram, telling fans, "I'm taking a gap year & protecting my peace."

Lizzo came under scrutiny last year after three ex-backup dancers alleged that she fostered a "hostile, abusive work environment," shaming them over their weight while they worked for her, as per E! News.

The singer denied the accusations through an Instagram post, stating, "Sometimes I have to make hard decisions but it's never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or like they aren't valued as an important part of the team."

In March, Lizzo announced she was "quitting" amid the controversies but clarified that she was not leaving the music industry.

In an Instagram video, shared on April 2, the 'Boys' singer said, "I just need to clarify when I say, ‘I quit,’ I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention," adding she would not quit making music, calling it "the joy of my life."

Internet's positive response to Lizzo's weight loss transformation

A majority of netizens appreciated Lizzo's accomplishment, saying she looked stunning. However, some pointed out that the weight transformation was not very visible and questioned her stance on body positivity.

One said, "Glad she has been working on getting healthier! Weight loss is just an added bonus!" and another added, "This is how real transformation looks. Unlike some drastically lose tons of pounds." 

"Lizzo looks stunning as always! It's all about feeling confident and embracing yourself no matter what," declared a person. On the other hand, one remarked, "Would I be a hater if I said I don’t see a difference."
