'Loki' actor Jack Veal, 17, reveals he is homeless and sleeping on the streets as he begs fans for 'help'

LONDON, ENGLAND: Marvel actor Jack Veal, who starred with Tom Hiddleston in 'Loki' revealed on TikTok that he is "homeless" and has been sleeping on the streets on a part-time basis since deciding to leave his abusive household.

Known for his portrayal of Kid Loki in the show, the 17-year-old British actor went viral on TikTok on Monday, December 2, after sharing that he has been living in a trailer in London and is looking for a place to live, reported Daily Mail.

Jack Veal reveals his mental health struggles while being 'homeless'

"Hi. I’m a famous actor, I’m 17, and I’m homeless. You may know me from 'Loki, The End of the F***ing World' or various other movies where I played important roles," Jack Veal said in his TikTok video.

He continued, "I haven’t mentioned much about what’s been going on in my life, but I think it’s time to reveal the truth."

The 'Loki' teen actor revealed that he "didn't have a very good upbringing" and had experienced emotional and physical abuse all of his life, according to OK! Magazine. 

Veal revealed his experiences with mental health issues and abuse in the unfiltered clip. "I’ve struggled with mental health. I have autism, ADHD and am being screened for bipolar and psychosis. I have nowhere else to go. And I need help," he added.

According to Variety, Veal has appeared in television series like 'Tin Star', 'Call the Midwife', and 'The Peripheral' as well as films like 'The Favourite', 'The Corrupted', 'Come Away', and 'My Name Is Lenny'. 

Jack Veal asks for 'help' from viewers 

The British teen actor claimed that he was unable to stay with his grandparents because of his grandfather's terminal illness. The 'Loki' actor added that though he attempted to get in touch with social services, they "refused" to assist him, leaving him "desperate."

"I can't stay at my grandparents' because my granddad is terminally unwell. I have nowhere else to go, and I need help. Social services refuses to help me despite what I have told them. I am desperate," Veal said.

Veal moved the camera around to reveal the surrounding area where he is currently staying as he asked for assistance from fans.

"I’ve been sleeping in the streets. I am currently sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows, is unsafe and is two hours away from my work. This makes it hard to get to work every day," he said.

He continued, "It’s difficult. Life is hard. At the moment, I have nothing else. I am on my knees begging for you guys to just share this, do something, spread the message of how the government [is] treating kids."

Veal continued to describe his current living situation, pointing out the trailer's broken window and the absence of electricity, which forced him to charge his phone using a power bank.

He ended his video by saying, "I need help. Please share, please share it with whoever you can. You don’t have to pay me anything, I don’t need anything."

"I just need you to make this go as viral as possible. I'll continue to put some more stuff out, but, please, I need help," he said.

Veal later thanked his fans and added that although he is appreciative of the offers of housing, his "objective" is to get assistance from "people who are meant to provide it, social services."

Jack Veal reveals he eventually met social services

The 17-year-old actor posted another update less than 24 hours later and emotionally revealed that he had contacted social services again and expressed hope that the next day he would be placed in foster care and receive accommodations.

The actor's eyes welled up with tears as he said, "I just got a call from social services saying they want a meeting with me tomorrow to potentially get me into foster care and support and accommodations."

"I don't know what you guys have done but it's gotten out there and it's really, really helped me and they're taking action now. They're actually doing something so God bless you all," Veal exclaimed.

He said in the end, "I'll let you know how the meeting goes and there's no promises, but this is the first time they've considered me for accommodation so thank you, thank you so much. I love you all."

Fans flocked to support Jack Veal for 'facing extreme hardship'

Jack Veal's fans showered him with supportive messages after his video went viral.

One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Being a young actor is tough if you aren’t constantly booking and without a good support system, hope he gets the help he needs."

Another person remarked, "Jack veal, who played kid loki in loki season 1, has shared that he is currently homeless and facing extreme hardship. he left his family after enduring countless abuses. he is underage, and the uk government is not providing any help please help him by sharing this video."

"Man that’s beyond sad. Prayers up for him and hopefully someone can reach out to help," hoped another.

One individual expressed, "That’s really sad to hear. People forget that these actors don’t all have a perfect life. I hope things work out for him."

Another said, "Parents taking earnings from child/young stars is ridiculously common. I did hope that protections had been put in place to stop it. I hope this gets attention."
