LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dionne Warwick is still going strong at 83, and she has some fond memories of meeting the most handsome man, Elvis Presley, the King of rock and roll. 

The celebrated singer remains steadfast in her commitment to an active career and expresses appreciation to the Kennedy Center, highlighting their recognition of her work for the first time.

In an interview with Fox News, the iconic singer revealed being captivated by Presley's charm when they initially met in Las Vegas in 1969.

“Oh, my goodness. First of all, looking at that man was overwhelming,” she said. “I never seen a man that pretty in my life.”

She also disclosed how Presley played a crucial role in boosting her album sales by distributing their photos to be displayed in every record store across the city.

“He was so wonderful and so kind to me. He said, ‘You know what I’m going to do? I did something for you.’ I said, ‘What are you going to do?’ He said, ‘I am going to put a photograph of you and another photograph of me in every album in every record store in Las Vegas.’”

Dionne went on to say, “I sold so many albums. I have [to] tell you – in Las Vegas than I ever thought about selling anywhere.”

Warwick was recently honored with a prestigious Kennedy Center award for her contributions to American culture.

Her son, Damon Warwick, who also collaborated with her on a song called 'I Kneel,' expressed his pride and admiration for his mother.

“Words can’t express how proud both me and my brother are of mom,” he said.

Dionne Warwick on staying active and youthful 

Dionne Warwick, the legendary soul singer, participated in a performance of 'Weather' on 'The Masked Singer' UK. As anticipated, she was eliminated in the first episode due to her easily recognizable and distinctive voice.

"No, I've got plenty of time to slow down," she stated to the station. Damon added that convincing his mother to relax a bit and take it easy is something that simply doesn't exist.

She expressed her love for what she does and emphasized that she will only stop when she personally feels ready to do so.

Her son Damon said, “She always said that when it feels like work, then I’ll stop when I’m ready and until then, I’m gonna keep having fun and trucking around this world and doing what I love to do. So, that’s what we do. We try to keep up with her.”

Warwick also disclosed her secret to maintaining youthfulness and health in her 80s, saying, "It is spelled in capital letters. G-O-D," in addition to emphasizing the importance of self-love.
