'Incredible!': Internet amazed at Christian Bale's first look as Frankenstein's monster in 'The Bride'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Maggie Gyllenhaal took to social media to give fans a glimpse into her upcoming project, 'The Bride' which included a look at Christian Bale's unrecognizable transformation for the film.
'The Bride' takes a fresh take on the classic tale of Frankenstein and Gyllenhaal is set to captivate viewers with her sophomore directorial effort, according to Deadline.

Gyllenhaal shared a series of intriguing images on Instagram as she gave a sneak peek into 'The Bride', and the post features its lead actors Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale in their costumes.
"Meet The Bride & Frank đź–¤," the filmmaker captioned the photos with "#CameraTest" in the post on Thursday, April 4.
In the series of pictures, one photo showed Bale appearing in tattered clothing, adorned with stitches and scars on his head and chest, and also a large tattoo across his body.
Another snapshot showed Buckley who embodied Frankenstein's bride as she appeared with curly blonde hair and hints of scarring on her mouth.
When will Maggie Gyllenhaal's 'The Bride' be released?
The film is slated for release in October 2025 through Warner Bros. It will be set in 1930s Chicago and will also feature Peter Sarsgaard, Penelope Cruz, and Annette Bening.
The titular character played by Buckley is revived and driven by "romance and ignites a radical social movement," according to Variety.
Buckley, who has earned an Oscar nomination in Gyllenhaal's directorial debut 'The Lost Daughter' expressed her excitement for 'The Bride' as she said, “It is beyond my wildest dreams getting to go back and work with [Gyllenhaal] again."
"We really fell in love working on The Lost Daughter. I feel so grateful that I get to be part of a coin of extraordinary women who have so much to say, such brilliant minds, and such imagination,” she added.
Speaking to The Independent, Sarsgaard previously shared that 'The Bride' is a "big, romantic, deeply romantic, wild, punk monster movie," which will be "energizing."
"It’s rambunctious. People are going to be very surprised that this is Maggie’s second movie. It is nothing, at all, like The Lost Daughter," he added.
